OKish. Just got home from work. Now it's time to go to bed for 6 hours, then go back to work. I work one job every night for about 6 hours, then another job 5 days a week for 4-5 hours a day. I am just wrecked and feeling horribly guilty about pbps.

I'll keep things moving until you can step back in. I'll do my best to not wreck things.

It's okay treppa. I know how important work can be.

Given that all the players are in this thread, is this game still going?

It's more like how tight money is and how necessary work is to get that money. But you know how THAT is, too. ;)

I assumed it was dead, along with the rest. None of our games seem to be rolling.

Current status of the 3 PbPs in which I'm a player:

Suicide Squad: on temporary hiatus while Mr. Curtin settles into his new job

Average Joes: was on hiatus, currently back up and running under temporary new management

Mass Effect: [?]

I'm all in favor of keeping the game going, although I confess I was swamped by work for a while in the face of the audit that was postponed. I know everyone else had work and family related stuff going on too. Let's keep going!

Sparkith, a flame-loving fey. Keep it away from children, or it can give them ideas about matches and such.

It seems that nice part of Autumn finished giving the way to rains...

Here where I live it's unseasonably warm. Highs around 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius). When I was a kid by now the trees would be in full fall colors and we'd have rainy, cool days as well as bright, crisp, and cool days. It didn't rain the entire month of September and it's only very lightly rained in isolated areas so far this month. I'm very disappointed as Autumn is my favorite time of year.

It's 74F here right now, and we're under a winter storm watch.

SNOW!!!

Where do you live?

Colorado.

I'm in Arkansas. If you get snow I'm going to be so jealous.

The year my son was born (1993) he was 6 weeks old at Halloween. It snowed nearly 2 feet. He was too young to go trick or treating, of course, but for me it was the best Halloween evAH.

Yeah all of my PbP' are slowed to a crawl/stop. (And I'm for sure part of the cause, not the solution!) ;P

Pesky Real Life trumps Game Life every time I suppose. ;)

Netflix has a BBC "series" on it about the "rediscovery" of Egypt. The first episode covers Howard Carter.

Right now I'll settle for snow due to the fact 80 degrees in October is STUPID!

Also: Cake knows the gate. Cake is the gate. Cake is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in cake.

I agree, Thomas. I just got back from walking my dogs and I'm wiping sweat from my face! The leaves aren't even changing color here.

Leaves have fallen here/changed color. But honestly feels less like fall and more like late summer in a drought.

Hate to break it to you, but if you like snow, you're, um, kinda in the wrong place... :P

I am? Where should I be? The Land of the Linnorm Kings? Irrisen?

I'm in Hell... ~looks around~ What? I'm not? But it is so hot? ~listens~ Oh. Damn. Sorry! I am in the South! The Devil told me that Hell is cooler than here.

As a kid we'd get two to four really good (for the south) snows a year. And it would get cold and stay cold. I remember having to chop holes in ice on the ponds so the cattle would have drinking water. The ice would be nearly a foot thick at times. Compared to Colorado, no, we didn't get as much snow. But I remember some snows that were two or three deep. For the south, that's a lot. But they're just memories now.

I have heard of this "Snow" that you speak of, but I doubt it exists.

That's because Pittsburgh gets your share, as well.

Pittsburgh gets more snow than I do...

Also Sharoth needs to move to Pluto. It's cooler.

I'm hoping for lots of snow where we live.

For once, the devil did not lie. :P

Yeah,... so,...

I KNEW everything was going too dang well.

So last night, strike & reset was going fast and smooth, and I go to reset the 'sound shell' on the stage. (Build a box on stage so the stage is acoustically useful for a musical event)

Annnnnnnnd,.... one of the fly rails for the large 'clouds' (ceiling panels) comes to a crashing halt. Literally.

No up. No down. Just stuck. Yet not stuck on anything. Visually everything should be functional. Yet 600+ pounds of muscular (young college age) techs can not make it budge.

And of course I am supposed to move between shell and theater mode at least twice this week.

Yeeeeeeeeah,........ So. It is gonna be a LONG week.

So if I vanish from PbP's and the Treefort for a few (more) days, I'm likely hanging upside down from the grid, taking my life in my own hands trying to fix this stupid fly system.

Everyone else please have a good week.
And have a drink or three for me! :/

Exactly three more weeks of work at the Polish Aviation Museum.

Bah feel not guilty! PbP is certainly a hell of a lot more fun than work but RL comes first! Working that much you need sleep. When you have time and are rested, we know you'll be back at PbP. ;-)

Heh. I am in a PbP here on the boards where my character is a nephew of Howard Carter.

Don't fail to see the cake if he comes to Paizo messageboards. Cake is horrible — horrible beyond anything you can imagine — but wonderful. Cake haunts one for hours afterward. I am still shuddering at what the cake showed.

In honor Egypt. ;)

I love cake. But I love pie more. Unless it's a key lime pie cheesecake, then I'll kneecap someone for that stuff.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Is that all, you'll have to do something far darker if you want our pie.

For instance, did you know an adult human can watch a full twenty minutes of Barney before eye bleeding and willful brain injury set in.

Or so we've heard.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I don't want your pie. I just want to mix cake with Lovecraftian horror. :)

85 in mid October. I guess this is the South after all

I need to get my shiznit together. This has been such a move.

Sold some Planescape minis and a purple worm. #winning

Need to put up my rarer Dragon mags, then my Spelljammer collection. A certain pony was interested, but he thought better of it. So time to split it up and put it for sale.

So much to sell.

So much to sell

How did I saddle myself with all this stuff?

Ah well, live in one place for 16 years...

oooohhh. Older Dragon mags, whatcha got?

85...not quite here but if I step out in the sun and it's before 5:30...then yes.
