Silver Crusade

I did, however, pull the trigger on a $60 Hogwarts throw blanket. It actually looks really nice, and that's not a bad price for a blanket.

Actually you can get the robes in the parks for only $100 :) (Or you could in 2015)
I REALLY wanted to get my kids and me one, but I just couldn't spend that much money., Even if I had it to spend. :(

I DID get them each a wand, and when we got home I found a pattern and I made my daughter and I each a robe. (Hufflepuff for her, Gryffindor for me) My son's will be made when he decides it's cool again.
(He's at that age) ;P

And HOT butterbeers are the BEST!! Let no liar tell you otherwise!

Silver Crusade

As we were leaving, I confided in my (new) mother-in-law that I am always tempted to pick up a Ravenclaw robe and a wand. She was like, "I'm so glad to hear somebody say that. I keep thinking I would love a Gryffindor outfit. At the very least I'd be set for the next few Halloweens." Of course, that is as we were leaving...

I'm going later this year, I'll post when I go in case anyone wants me to pick them anything up while I am there!

Of course this trip means that I won't get to PaizoCon this year but my daughter having a cool vacation is better than me having a cool vacation. :-)

Well. Stuck in Roxbury for a bit. Didn't even try to stay on the bus. Too damn cold

I'm studying to be a paralegal, that's like first-year Slytherin, right?

I was forced into sytherin because of my hatred for Harry Potter.

the only down side of that strip is that i would meet a similar fate to the poor fellow who lost his manhood.

PM me if you have a legit problem and maybe I can guide you in the right direction as individuals are not really my thing. That is the best I can do for ya!

Do you have a smoking-hot secretary and a guitar signed by the founders of Google?

Well?

So its 330 AM and now warmer than it was at noon. Gotta love New England.

Down south, it seems we finally had our winter....all two days of it this weekend past. Brrrr.....

This morning, we are currently in the low 60s, with a high in the low 70s predicted by the Oracle at Doppler.

If eating a bowl of ice cream at 830am is wrong, I don't wanna be right

*Stares glumly at her breakfast bowl of fruit, Greek yogurt, and muesli.*

I'm hallucinating so all my good food habits are broken. Don't mind me...

If it's any consolation my doctor is going to flat out roast me next week at my checkup. It's been a backslidy holiday season

It is our "nighttime" so it is allowed. I have done this before too.

I've stopped eating wheat, corn, and bread products in general (that whole terrible allergy thing was revving up again). Also ramping up to the limited fast program they are testing for patients with MS and other inflammatory-type diseases. Yay.

[Limited fasting is where you fast - water, plain tea, and plain coffee only - for 16 hours each day and eat only during a set 8-hour period.]

Damn. I'm sorry.

Sadly no, those kids can't be counted as employees...

Freehold DM wrote:

It's really not that bad. I'm just weirded out by the idea that some foods make you feel awful when you aren't overtly sensitive to them. Nothing I've been eating made me break out or wheeze or anything.

I always laughed at those articles like "this food will KILL YOU if you look at it crosswise" and figured you can really eat just about anything as long as (a) you're not truly allergic to it; and, (2) you don't eat ridiculous amounts.

Feeling pretty stupid right now, but restricting foods and intake really helps. Maybe somebody from the ALL CAPS AND PANIC HEADLINES School of Journalism did something to me. >_>

Yeah, and my stuff involves an LLC/partnership, so counts as individual and not corporate, I think. Too bad I didn't incorporate!

Which has its own set of headaches and for a small operation no advisor would ever suggest that type of structuring.

OI! Tell me about it Monkey! :(

I know I have an appt coming up in the next week or two.
He is gonna yell at me. SO much. :P

Well, our winter, all 2 days of it, snuck past my Zinc and vitamin defenses, and is trying to get both me and my son sick. :(

Well,... eating chicken noodle soup is one way to lose weight,... ;P

Actually Treppa, you are not allergic to those foods. THEY are allergic to YOU!!! They have Treppa allergies!

~grins~ Yea, allergies suck. Especially food ones.

I may hate harry potter, but I approve of the purchase. Quite thrifty.

I like Harry Potter, but I do not consider myself a fan

Am I a fan? Hm,...

One of the best Christmases I ever had was about 3 years ago,
I got a Harry Potter Gryffindor Scarf, a Gandalf wizard hat, and a long Gandalf pipe.

Yes. I walked around the house all Christmas with all three items. :)

Yes. I am a nerd/geek/whatever. ;P

ARGH!
Stoopid-rassin-frassin-nickle-frickle-nutter-butter-peanut-butter-sandwich- cookie-ding-dang-timey-wimey-wibbley-wobbley HEAD COLD!

2 days. TWO STINKING DAYS of actual 'winter' weather, which I was more than adequately prepared for clothing and health-wise, and a head cold somehow penetrated both my vitamins and Zinc defense, as well as my trenchcoat and long Dr Who-esque scarf!

JUST in time for the start of rehearsals for Sweeney Todd! :P

My throat hurts SO much right now. Head cold part isn't even that bad, I got by all day yesterday without taking medicine for it. But my THROAT is killing me! :(

Ah well, enough whining. Back to work! ;P

Hope everyone else is having a happy Hump day! (University classes start today, so everyone at work here is as insane as I usually am!) ;P

I like it well enough. Read (and own) all the books. Saw all the movies (except that new one). The wife and I even participated in some of the midnight releases for the books back in the day, mostly because we didn't have kids to worry about, and thought it was fun.
