So... 2016 was actually a good year for me personally...

You're very welcome. It's good to see someone appreciate all the hard work I do.

Benevolent horrors of Xvih, your friendly eldritch alien abomination!

It was supposed to be Lawful Good initially but during the writing it went more and more indifferent to order...

And so I will have to write another LG aberration in the future...

Saw a pic of Betty White sitting back in a recliner sipping a huge margarita.
Dont know when it was taken, but that's teh best revenge you can get on 2016!
:)

Saw my friend who just found out he has cancer. He is not doing well, and he is in denial about how bad his condition is. He is NOT in depression, just not accepting the seriousness. But He went into the clinic today to get all new tests and figure out his treatment. So that good.

Also saw my eldest son and his kids today. We Chuck E Cheese'd and he showed us around an International (mostly oriental) Market after. He wanted to expand my other kids (his half brother and sister) horizons. :)

AND going to See Rogue One Tonight. So, good day overall.

:)

Yay for good days. Today I got paid and went out for drinks with a friend. So, a very good day for me! :)

The wife and I may go see the movie on Monday. Her office is closed, same with the boy's school, but the daycare is open.....

Wayfinder proofreading...

I always seem to get stuck with the articles that got "missed" during the editing phase.

Speaking of proofreading:

For Christmas, my mother bought my two young cousins a pair of mermaid-themed blankets. Packaged with the blankets (which had been made in China) was one of the greatest examples of Engrish I've seen in a long time:

On long drives, I often listen to NPR when it's available. Today, they had the Capitol Steps political satire group on the air. The highlight of their set:

Political humor:
Vladimir Putin flies to Poland, and as he passes through customs, the officer at the window asks him the standard questions:

Officer: "Name?"
Putin: "Vladimir Putin."
Officer: "Nationality?"
Putin: "Russian, of course."
Officer: "Occupation?"
Putin: "No, just visiting for now."

GOD I LOVE THIS ALBUM

It always reminds me of the beige sands and garbage fires of Saudi Arabia

That joke was told a few times before with various German and Russian officials in main role.

For me, it reminds me of the beige walls and garbage fires of junior high.

Rocketing down the MadMaxxian wasteland of central Saudi in a black Chevy Suburban dressed in BDUs but with an Oxford button down shirt on to try and fool other drivers who we were, M16A2 cradled in my lap as I literally rode shotgun. Americana blasting from the stereo as me and my G2 crew thundered down the highway to Prince Sultan Airbase at 130 Kph.

I never felt more like Hunter S Thompson than in those surrealistic journeys. I really wish I had had access to psychedelics at the time, it was the only thing that could have made it more bizarre.

"We can't stop here! This is goat country!"

So. Final day of 2016. It's been quite a year.

I'm excited for 2017. I really hope I can find a paralegal job somewhere once I graduate. That will be the final piece of the puzzle for me. As soon as my financial future is settled and I am not working 90 hours a week I'll be able to glide into my golden years with adventures and fun.

80 more posts until 10K as well. Maybe I should do an alias blitz and get it over the hump for the New Year
