Sorry if this has been asked before, but if something is not specifically listed as illegal or legal for society play, can it be used?
Example:in Distant Shores, the ganzi is not listed as either legal or illegal for society play.

If something is not listed as legal, then it is not.

However, there is a boon combination that opens up the Ganzi, I'd suggest hitting the boon trading thread.

It depends, sort of.

If a book says "Everything in this book is legal, except for the following items: <list>" then anything not listed is legal.

Other wise it will say "The following things are legal <list>" In which case anything not listed is illegal.

Ganzi is not legal unless you have a boon.
