(MultiClassing) Class Features and Level

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

I have a Question about Certain Class Features and Character Level.

Example: A Guide (Ranger Arch) gets Ranger Focus which enhanced Hit and DMG. A Level 5 Character 2 Zen Archer (Monk), 1 Guide and again 2 Zen Archer
has it on Focus +4 2/day or the lvl1 Basic +2/day?

Same Question about LvL 4 Barbarian 2/Fighter 2 with Rage (+2 Rage Rounds)/Level.

Hope somebody can brink clearity.
If there is a FAQ I oversaw it.

Class features always, with very few exceptions, count only your level in that specific class.

So the ranger/monk is level 1 for the purpose of Ranger's Focus, and the barbarian/fighter is level 2 for the purpose of rage.

Hope this helps. ^_^

Class Features generally only increase with class levels, not character level.

A Fighter 3 / Ranger 2 character has the exact class abilities a pure Fighter 3 would have + the exact class abilties a pure Ranger 2 would have.

The only stuff that stacks are BAB, Hitpoints, Saves, Skillpoints, as well as the basic feats you get every other level, as they are connected to character level, and not class level.

In class descriptions they talk about getting this at that level, it is always ment class level. You do not "unlock" stuff for later getting when you multiclass into another class, unless it is EXPLICITLY stated that way.

I though that, too , because I thought they only worded it simply with "Level" to make it easier and didn't consider Multiclassing.
Still hoped it.

Best way to think about this is, all classes are written with single class characters in mind. So all abilities that say "level" refer to levels in that class only.
