The Exchange

I call them Recaps. All of the Modules and Adventure Paths and many of the Campaign Setting have a mini bestiary and only 1/3 of the ones get from the Adventure Paths get into the Bestiaries. I would like all of them in their own separate books. I would like to see a Bestiary Recap, an Equipment Recap, and Towns/ Cities Recap.

Also I love lore and I would like reading more on the cultures of the various races.

I'd like a steam punk book. Not a specific to setting but tied into Glorian through a pathfinder campaign setting book and player's companion book.

Third party all right by you?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I'd love to see an Ultimate Magic 2 and Ultimate Combat 2, not necessarily any new classes, but filling in a lot of gaps, like tons of new shaman spirit and bloodrager bloodlines to fill out the missing parallels between them and the sorcerer and oracle and so on.

Not to mention tons of new options. Maybe even a new alternate casting system, an update to words of power, and so on

RPG Line

Ultimate Technology- Book that focuses on technology from different time periods.

Ultimate Classes- A collection of every class in the game plus there variants, and some new ones.

Advanced Races Guide 2- Like the first but more evenly divided page count for every race.

Ultimate Equipment Guide 2- A collection of new and old magic items, alchemical items, special materials, etc. like the first one.

Campaign Setting Line(Hardcover)

Distant worlds- Info on every planet(except Golarion), moon, and any other celestial body in the Golarion solar system.

Planar Handbook- Info on every plane, dimension, and demi plane.

Golarion World Guide- If we can't have a hardcover for each continent then a book that focuses on everything not in the Inner Sea.

That would be great; it could probably avoid reprinting the stone/bronze age weapons from Ultimate Combat, though. It could include some already published archetypes (trench gunner) and equipment as well as new ones. Separating the equipment by technology type (bio-cybernetic, chemical/explosives, electromagnetic, gravity manipulation, lasers, nuclear fission/fusion and anti-matter/sub-particle/"dark matter," etc.) and advancement level would be ideal (IMO), allowing GMs to tailor societies' available tech based on which fields they've focused on. Possibly even some guidelines on magic-powered technology.

Probably not worth the effort to print, since it's a moving target and will be obsolete within a year. I'd prefer if they added a "Class Index" to the PRD, linking to the base description and listing the archetypes for that class (with links, as well) in the RPG line for ease of reference.

Reprints with minor additions (especially since all of the original material is available on the PRD) are horrible business practice to do regularly. An Advanced Race Guide 2 would only make sense if there are enough new races/material to fill almost the entire book.

Same as above. Also, they are working on a comprehensive Magic Item Index in the PRD.

I never said that the ARG 2 would be reprints were would you get that idea? Also keep in mind there are plenty of races that are not in the first ARG.

Races that didn't get any love in the last ARG.

Lashunta, Android, Syrinx, Monkey Goblin, Ghoran, Astomoi, Caligni, Deep One Hybrid, Shabti, Orang-Pendak, Reptoid, Gathlain, Triaxian, Wyvaran, Wyrwood, Kasatha, Trox, Kuru, Skinwalker, and Ganzi. I am sure there will be more by the time they would even think of doing another book like the ARG.

A big bumper book of variant rules. Everything from armour as DR, to new stuff.

You mean like "Ultimate options"?

Yes. Is that a book? Please tell me that's a book.

No, but it is one of many things I would like to see.

I would like: (in addition to everything they're already doing)

campaign settings:
A big planar book
more space stuff - distant worlds is one of my favorites
more history stuff - like lost x series of CS
plants unleashed

rules:
more NPC Codex, Monster Codex - which will probably come
raising undead and crafting constructs
occult+mythic combined stuff (I haven't looked at occult yet)

other (maybe in the adventures/modules line):
Encounter packs a la
- a camp/area flip-map
- a 16 page booklet describing the settlement, NPCs with some statblocks, hooks for friendly encounters and tactics for the other kind
- a few sheets of pawns to inhabit the camp

these could be in themes such as: goblin war party, thieves' hideout, mercenary camp, wayside temple of X, gnome hamlet, ghoul infested graveyard, mage's demi-plane sanctuary, and many more...

In regards to campaign settings other than Golarion. I think that's called third party publishers. Really, how many Paizo writers go off and publish their home brew world? It seems like an appropriate paradigm. Paizo prints Golarion, which is expansive but stays somewhere in the realm of semi-medieval-renaissance high fantasy and everyone else prints something with a different flavor.

That said, a Steampunk Adventures or an Ultimate Technology would be nice. There's logistical problems with people wanting to apply it to PFS when those things aren't a norm for Golarion. If I could ask for anything I would like to think that they need a new line of hardcovers or Campaign Setting sized books that is explicitly PFS or Golarion agnostic for things like that to go in.

I'll toss in my vote for Ultimate Magic 2 and Ultimate Combat 2, though especially the latter. Really want to see what they do with AWT, weapon mastery feats, weapon tricks, weapon styles, weapon design, as well as whatever goodies they introduce in Armor Master's Handbook when they have the space to go really in depth with those design spaces.

(Saw a Henshin, so up this alias goes...)

A hardcover for Dragon Empires.
A hardcover for Distant Worlds.

While Vudra, Arcadia, Casmaron, southern Garund et al deserve hardcovers,I'd be perfectly happy to see some softbound stuff for them.

RPG Line

Pathfinder Unchained 2- Would love unchained versions of many more classes such as bard, cleric, sorcerer, etc.

Monsters Unleashed- A book of options for monsters instead of players.

Ultimate Faith- A book focused on religion and divine magic.

Campaign Setting(Hardcover)

Monsters of Golarion- Fluff book that focuses on the major monsters and non-0HD races of Golarion.

Oceans of Golarion- book focused on the oceans and seas of Golarion and what can be found there.

RPG Line or Campaign Setting(Hardcover)

A Draconomicon style book would be awesome.

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Pathfinder version of the Draconomicon
Dinosaurs Unleashed/Revisited
Class specific players companions
A player companion dedicated to Draconic characters, not a dragonslayer's guide again, but one with dragon themed options and archetypes for characters.

Lizardfolk to get an official PC race write up, don't care what book, just a fleshed out and legit write up. If Deep One hybrids can be viable then Lizardfolk can also.

I would like to see a Distant Worlds Bestiary softcover(or hardcover) book.

I would like a revisited book for elementals, aberrations, plants, oozes, dragon 2, fey 2, and sea monsters.

I would like a unleashed book for kaiju, dragons 2, fey, magical beast, and giants.

The Exchange

I would like to see the inner sea updated, like in 10 years. Until then I would like to see another hard cover inner sea. Preferably Southern Guand or Xain Tai.

In addition to an Ultimate Technology book, I'd love to see some follow up books that use that for things like Pathfinder Modern, a post apocalyptic book (James Jacobs' Unspeakable Futures would be ideal), and Pathfinder Future (for more classic sci-fi, space exploration, starships, etc.)

Another book that could be good would be one that gives detailed ways to mix/match elements from all of the others to craft unique campaigns. With the huge number of classes, and expanded material, the default of "everything exists in Golarion" gives a very vast realm of possibilities in the setting. Alternate settings can be defined by what's not included. For example, one thing that I felt was missing from Occult Adventures was how to make a campaign more Occult - what classes should be excluded with the addition of the 6 occult classes, and what magic might not fit as well (for example, maybe no teleporting, but only journeys through transitive planes like the Astral/etherial/shadow plans are the only way to magically go from point A to point B without everywhere in between). Or how to run a stone age game - what weapons classes, etc, shouldn't be included. Or a fantasy undead apocalypse world where no cities larger than thorps survive, how that impacts economies, access to basics from food to magic items, etc. You could probably have 6-8 detailed 20-30 page sections in the book each focusing on a very different feeling campaign, and a chapter on general advice and another 10 mini-templates on other campaign types.

For campaign setting books, I'd love to see more on places that haven't had any or much sourcebook love, whehter that's Nidal, Molthune, Galt, Vudra, Casmaron, other planes or other planets.

Ultimate Technology
Ultimate Great Beyond (The Great Beyond was way too small.)
..Or, better, an Ultimate book (300+ pages) for each plane.
Fiendish Codex Redux, Vol 1, Demons
Fiendish Codex Redux, Vol 2, Devils
Fiendish Codex Redux, Vol 3, Daemons
Fiendish Codex Redux, Vol 4, Demodands (and the Thanatotic Titans)
..(Yes, I know there were no Vol 3 and 4 originally, but call them Redux, anyway.)
In the Cage: A Guide to Sigil (oh, wait... wrong milieu)
Larger nation and region books for Golarion. Four pages per nation in the Inner Sea Guide is much too little. Also, cover the rest of the world.

I wouldn't mind more new races, but give them new places to come from. They can't all come from Golarian.

Fewer new classes. There are so many classes now that even without archetypes there is increasingly little difference between them.

I would most want NPC Codex 2, with the non-core classes, much more than another book of monsters or even splat.
