Old world blues is really for melees and energy weapons. The loot for guns and explosives kinda sucks. The armor is lame, and the dog gun looks cool by is weak.

Elijah's LAER is bad@ss, though, and the proton inversal axe makes robots worthless against you.

there is also the power fists the lobodimites carry which you can make stronger by heating it up in the toaster in the Sink (after you find his personality file)

Sounds delightful! Maybe I'll give it a go later tonight.

"Are those wriggling Penises on it's feet"

A while later i get to answer using science which is 20 points too low or speech which was considerably lower.

So i gave it the finger.

"Great! now it's Penis on it's hand has achieved erection!"

Lol! i love this place!

Oh is it frustrating, g*&$$&n f+$#ing lobotomites, goblin dogs and nigh indestructible robots and robot dogs, man this place is pissing me off.

As someone else currently playing through New Vegas (for the first time in my case), this thread is a thing of beauty.

This is pretty much my first time as well.

Kind of getting a handle of this God forsaken place, kind of.

For instance, every time I try to go anywhere, anywhere at all, I get swarmed by lobotomites, and then just when I get their dick f!*# s!!& eating ways figured out the g+$&@&n place throws something new at me, like how about goblin dog looking f$@#ers that won't die, or maybe robot spiders or f+!@ing robot dogs all swarming me at once.

Dr. Klein's Glove is devastating tho, so there's good with the annoying.

No prismatic aliens at least, so far....

Wait until you find the Trauma Harness suits. Those things pissed me off. Like lobotomites, but with plasma rifles - yay!

Oh, I hate those f+!@ers!

And they're everywhere, no break at all, if I'm not in Higgs Town or the Sink I got a$+*&*+s swarming me.

So far I've retrieved the thingy from the place.

So many Stimpaks used! So, so many!

Nope, I do not like Old World Blues, not one bit, at least not without packing more heat.

Oh, Annabelle, I feel lost without you!

Tried to warn you. It's essential for a melee character, as the proton inversal axe short circuits robots like a pulse grenade, and Elijah's LAER is a great weapon if you are an energy weapons guy, but otherwise it's too long and repetitive.

I guess I was expecting something more cowboy like.

I went in with my gun build at level 20ish. I also made sure that I had around 2000 bullets. ~sighs~ I went through them way too quickly. I was very grateful for jury rigging and hand loader.

So far, my favorite DLC, of the two and a half I've played thru was The Divide. But that's not set in stone.

Yeah, I'm going to have to find an earlier save, and get some more heat, and sweet, sweet Annabelle.

It is hard choosing between the two, I must admit.

I think we can all agree dead money has no redeeming qualities, at least.

Wait, wait, hang on, uh.... uhm...

From a horribly boring mechanical perspective it gives you a line on turning every five packs of cigarettes you find into a stimpak?

Someone out there might LIKE being forcibly ziplined into a plot that has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the New Vegas story, as even its established character connection goes nowhere?

The Dead Money jumpsuit looks like the hilarious afterthought it is?

Well, there's one legit edge...

You install it, your level cap goes up by 5, whether you jump aboard the railroading or not.

Elijah's ramblings are good for a non-unarmed melee build? And stupidly wasted on Veronica, who uses unarmed...

Not if you give her a Super Sledge...

Um if you did OWB, you have superheated saturnite fist.

Plus her melee never reaches 100, but her unarmed gets there fast.

A good Ballistic Fist goes a long way.

And it's MINE.

She can make do with Oh Baby!

I'm laying siege to Black Mountain (again) first try I got to the radiation bath hole part, forgot there was a Deathclaw and got mauled to s*~!, then found out I'd forgotten to save it, and had to redo the whole journey from Goodsprings, redid it, then had that save become corrupted, and had to make it a third time!

I now have 3 separate saves at the base of black mountain and about ten more for my slow but devastating climb to the top.

The Siege of Black Mountain is over!

I used a stealthboy to get thru the radiation hole area without attracting the wandering Deathclaw in the area. Figured out the prison building and freed Raul (whom I never found in my first time through) then went to find Tabitha.

In the end it all came down to Veronica vs Tabitha in a death punching battle royale, as for some reason, and despite having 95% chance in VATS, I couldn't hit that b*@&@ with That Gun, and ED-E was just hitting Veronica. Veronica's slow motion death punch was totally worth it tho, and it was a cramped, crazy couple of minutes there, but we emerged victorious, and as a kind gesture, gave Veronica Tabitha's Super Sledge, which she immediately equipped.

Rampage!!

Ha! I found that dumbf%~% Benny's weakness, a nice tight ass, I have the Black Widow trait, so I was all like "Oh, I'm totally turned on by getting shot in the head and left in a shallow grave, let's go bang!" ("That's not a thing, is it?" It's absolutely a thing!")

Of course, then we go up to his room where I close the door with ED-E outside watching, and we punched the stupid a#%%*!% to death, with our bare fists.

Now, that was pretty f*@&ing sweet!

Rampage!!

Next up, the brotherhood, and their quests of retrieving things of three.

Got the first holotag from the Centaur pit at Black Mountain, sadly I work tonight so it will be awhile until I can go get blown up 37 times by the Boomers... maybe I'll get the others first..

The Repconn Headquarters is a nice, smooth cakewalk...

I got a three to five step (not yet illustrated) plan for making it thru,

1. Run, fast! :-)

2. Die (x_x)

3. Repeat (no limit) >:-(

4. Make it through, crippled, but somehow alive :-S

5. Boomer High Five! :-)

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Break left, then cut straight ahead through the buildings. Pack a couple of stimpaks and stop for nothing. Easy.

Yes, that's all rolled into step one.

I forgot how much money I make off of RepConn headquarters.

Only took 3 times to make the Boomer Run, third time I was fortuitously blasted up against the fence in one of the mortar blasts, then it was Boomer High fives all around.

It's really not hard. You hug the wall, run, hide behind a crevice, wait for the bombs to stop, hug, hide behind crevice, wait for bombs to stop, hug wall, run to fence, you're done. The hard part I having followers not die when you play hardcore mode, but really I never even take damage when I do it.

But, my plan always works!

A word to the wise tho, making the run in your underwear does not make you appreciably faster and can lead to operator distraction, however, I imagine the Boomer High Fives are way more enthusiastic when (if) you make it.

G%$%@!n Minecraft, why in the hell did I even get my kids that game.

Oh, right, so they'll leave me alone, damn it, should've gotten another dog or something instead.

Laying an epic rampage against the Fiends in the second vault, I'm going with less explosives then usual, due to the tight confines, however That Gun is having a blast, so, so many headless bodies.

Finally moved on to the last vault, hope I have the right skill spammed for the elevator...

Why is everyone in wastelands always scarred.

Nope, did not spam the right skill, so I had to go out rampaging amongst the Fiends, then suddenly everyone was out of books to boost repair.

Maybe today I'll finish it.

You stop and wait? I don't think I've ever died when hugging the wall, and I just keep running straight through.

Helping out the Boomers, had to leave ED-E at the door of the Ant den (but not until exploding a few times) I can't believe I never found Thump-Thump before! I guess last time I was so focused on getting all the Ants ninja style I forgot to poke around every corner.

I still blew myself up once without ED-E tho when I targeted an Ant in VATS and realized too late there was a warhead directly in the line of fire.

My death was instantaneous, goretastic and entirely in slow motion.

Rampage!!!

After work I think I'll be raising the bird from the lake.

Boomers are good people.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Boomers are best people. As murderous, explosive-obsessed xenophobes go, anyway.

hell i always just run for it, i do tend to go through a lot of stims but i end up at the fence every time

I think I figured out the order in which it is ideal to tackle the DLC quests.

1. Caravan one.
2. F&$&ing g%%+#@n Lobotomite killing grounds
3. Railroad of Atomic Guilt Tripping
4. The one that everyone hates, which I have not tried.

Just my own personal observation, I could be wrong.
