You might check ENWorld, or Giant in the Playground, but since WotC decided to shut down their own forum, there's no official site aside from WotC pages and accounts on various social media.
Mentioned this in another thread, but Google+, Facebook, and Reddit have some fairly lively 5e discussion as well.

I've been hanging out in GitP and EN World since I started playing 5e, and I have to say that Paizo has spoiled me. There really isn't a format that's as good as the Paizo messageboards (or frankly, an online community that is as polite). Unfortunately, our discussions on 5e aren't as lively, here.
What are the best G+ groups?
I recommend D&D 5e (link).
The problem with GiantITP.com for myself and other publishers is that we can't even talk about our own products, even when someone else brings up our products. According to the board's rules, that's against the rules. So I do not spend any time there.
