My friend is running the WOTR card game in guild. He said I could not run Amiri the Barbarian because she was old. I chose to run Oloch the Warpriest instead. when I went to register the character on the guild site it does not have Oloch on it, but has Amiri. What does this mean, is Amiri playable, is Oloch unplayable? Thank you for the help.

At present, only characters from the Pathfinder Class Decks are legal for play. You can unlock the ability to play Jirelle the Swashbuckler and Enora the Arcanist by completing the Card Guild AP Skull and Shackles. Also, Alain the Cavalier is available to play if you finish the Card Guild AP Wrath of the Righteous.

When they last updated the registration pages they added characters for most of the upcoming Class Decks. That's why you see Druids, Barbarians, Oracles, and Alchemists listed even though their Class Decks haven't been released. Until they have a Class Deck, they're not legal for Guild play, so you can't play as Amiri or Oloch yet.

Who you can play as is any character from a Class Deck or any character from the main sets with the same class. At present that's only other versions of the iconic characters, but it may change in the future.

If you earn certain boons you may unlock the ability to play other characters in a specified class deck. Kevin listed most of the current ones; the other is Arueshalae with the Rogue deck, which was the Card Game GMing reward at Gen Con 2015.

All of this assumes you're playing the Guild adventure Season of the Righteous. If you're playing the adventure from the Wrath of the Righteous box, then you don't need to register or anything. Just have fun. :)

(One way to tell: the Wrath of the Righteous adventure info comes on cards from the box. The Season of the Righteous adventure info would come from a PDF, so printed pages or read from a device.)

Kevin: that's not true; you only have to finish AD6 of Wrath to get Alain. That doesn't necessarily involve finishing ADs1-5. (Since you have to complete adventures to complete the adventure path)

In fact, you still have to complete every single adventure to get the reward for the whole AP (Scale of Remembrance); there are characters who if they miss a few sessions will never be able to claim it.

Here's the Guide to Organized Play if you want to know more.

You're also allowed to bring Donahan (cohort) along. You play the character using the Paladin class deck.

Also, is your friend using the Class Deck characters? The class decks are a separate accessory to the game. When I was reading your post, it seemed that you guys weren't using them. They are required (well, the class deck for the characters your group is playing) for guild play.

We don't have the class decks we have the character add on decks. We likely will not do guild at all since we don't like the limitations of the characters allowed. I like using the most underused dice, the d12. I also love the Rise of The Runelords story line so I may end up running it.

If you're just playing with a home group, you should definitely just pick the characters and scenarios you enjoy. Good luck.

That said, you might want to check out the barbarian class deck when it comes out. :)

Amiri is my favorite Iconic hero, so I will get that when it comes out next year, and maybe look at Guild then. Plus I don't like not having a plastic mini for Oloch, which would look amazing. Thanks for all the help with Guild info and other card game posts, it helps a lot.

The other option is just playing the Adventure Guild season's adventure path as simply an alternate AP. You don't have to register characters that way. You can play what you want and it's different than the AP that comes with the set.

plastic mini for Oloch, you say?

Sovereign Court

Ok that Oloch mini is awesome.

Cool thank you for letting me know about that set coming out. Looks like Paizo wants to start of the new year with a bang.
