Suggestions for a Two-Man Team of Spies / Infiltrators / Thieves?

Advice

Since one of the players in my online game won't be able to attend the next session, I though about doing an unrelated (unrelated to the current adventure, at least) oneshot. That leaves two players.

My idea was to make a game about spies, assassins, infiltrators and information-brokerers in a large city seething with organized crime. The players will be new in town and need to prove their mettle or die trying. The setting is a generic 'everyting goes' kinda thing, maybe even an extraplanar location, so exotic concepts are definitely possible.

For the sake of gaming speed and accessibility I thought about making pregens not higher than 5th level. Right now I have three writeups: Human Bard (Sandman) with Silver Tongue trait, Half-Elf Inquisitor (Infiltrator) with Two-Weapon Fighting, and a Sylph Wizard (Diviner, Foresight) throwing tarot cards with Deadly Dealer. I'd like to have about 5 writeups for my guys to choose from.

Any ideas for something cool or interesting?

For the bard use an Archeologist Bard instead of the sandman.

A Ranger would add some needed muscle to the group. An Urban Ranger would be good, but even a straight ranger with urban as his favored terrain and human (or most common race) as favored enemy works well.

If the level limit was 6 instead of 5, an Urban Druid would be a very good class to add to the mix. Getting Alter Self at will would be great for infiltration.

A Daring Infiltrator Swashbuckler would also work well. The bonus to bluff, disguise, and stealth would be useful. Go for a Halfling for some really obscene stealth. With Fencing Grace his damage will actually be quite good.

I really like Stygian Slayer for the assassin in the shadows. Should have invisibility by 5th level.

Stygian Slayer looks cool, seems I missed that archetype.

Level 6 is something I'd love to achieve in-game, not have as the starting level, but Urban Druid might be a good addition.

Thanks, guys!

Archaeologist Bard also though a bard archetype like the human court bard can have MASSIVE social skills and be a formidable enchanter, almost on a par with a kitsune sorcerer, as they get a level bonus to key social skills, free rerolls a number of times a day and their performance can act like a debuff on some saves. In a human society as well an Imperious Bloodline Sorcerer gets their charisma bonus as an insight bonus on key skills also.

Stealth Synergy is a great teamwork feat, though less spectacular with only two PCs.

We took it in a dedicated ninja group at our local PFS. Works well.

Alchemist (toxicant and the trap archetype or vivi)
and
a version of a Slayer or Bard.

If you're wanting some goodl old fashion not realy magicy sneaking moments (i.e. they aren't just teleporting in and out sorta stuff. but invis is ok)

Otherwise if you wanted high end magic eventually..

Arcane trickster is classically fun (sneak attack class 1 +1 feat (to gain sneak attack dice. its from dirty tactics toolbox). then whatever casting you want.
then have a melee orientated cohort who goes into shadowdancer dip a bit.

Depending on how difficulty your game is anyway (since shadowdancer sure hits the bab)
