Witch arcane bond

The witch class states that a witch familiar acts as the wizard arcane bond. Can a witch use a bonded item in lieu of a familiar similar to a wizard, including the spell bonuses?

It specifies she must take a familiar, so no, bonded items are off the table. There is, however, an archetype for the witch available to half-elves called the "Bonded Witch" that lets you have a bonded object.
