Looking for "Arabian Nights" scenarios

GM Discussion

Hey guys,

I am looking for adventures in the veign of Arabian Nights, both in terms of look and feel. Which probably means someting featuring Katapesh, Jalmeray, or Vudra, but not necessarily ('The Harrowing' comes to mind). I've already considered the Legacy of Fire AP and standard adventure modules such as 'Broken Chains'. Can you point me to some PFS scenarios that would fit?

I ran it a month ago, so it was fresh in my mind. ^_^

Great scenario, too, especially the merchant scenes.

Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible and The Segang Expedition are both set on Jalmeray (though I don't think they have the feel for which you are searching). Murder on the Silken Caravan perhaps?

If you have a yen to read Pathfinder Tales, Liar's Island is largely set on Jalmeray and is quite excellent (though I recommend reading Liar's Blade first, it is also excellent IMO).

This is hard! There're a lot of scenarios that come to mind, mostly thanks to general arabian(levantian?) feel, but very few capture the kind of faery tale or fable-like quality needed. These two do:

* S02-18 The Forbidden Furnace of Forgotten Koor

Djinns, madness, incest, magic carpets and lost treasure!

* S06-07 Valley of Veiled Flame

Hidden valley, djinns, desert mirages, a magnificent palace and an evil tyrant!

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Anything else? Like I said, as long as it fits the wondrous theme of genie lamps, carpets and and coffee ceremonies it doesn't strictly have to be from the obvious soutern regions.

I know Liar's Blade, which I though was pretty fun. Will look into Liar's Island!

What Muser said, both great scenarios.

PFS #0-3 Murder on the Silken Caravan is also a bit of a necessity if you plan to play Valley of the Veiled Flame, both for location and Reasons (tm).

Shadow Lodge 4/5

Honestly? I don't see it. Sure it happens nearby and the map is a goodie, but the scenario is...not very good these days. And has very little to do with VoVF storywise.

For VoVF, I'd rather do Kalkamedes first.

Our Lady of silver might be suitable.

Destiny of the Sands plays to it as well.

For Arabian Nights, my first though of location would be Qadira. What specific aspects are you thinking for "look and feel"? Genies?

The Segang Expedition maybe. Valley of Veiled Flame and Forgotten Furnace for sure.

Cult of the Ebon Destroyers maybe, if only because it is also on Jalmeray.

Silver Crusade 4/5

So all of the above.

But I also have to add the Destiny of the Sands Trio. Every time I played that episode, the Arabian nights theme from Aladdin would come into my head.

And then I would all sing: "Osirian nights! Turn to Osirian days!"
