It would be nice if it kept continuity with the last series, but I suspect that will be too much to hope for.

As long as it's just as good as the last series I won't quibble about continuity, however nice that would be.

I'm just afraid it will be more like Teen Titans Go or the Green Lantern animated series than JL/JLU.

From what I saw of the Green Lantern animated series, it seemed pretty good. Doesn't hurt that Kilowog played a big part, or that he was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson.

That said, my preference would be a return to the DCAU of old, although I imagine that ship has sailed.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Need to see the art, hear about the concept/character details and find out who the showrunners are going to be before I form a real opinion.

Nope, it's going to be is own thing.

Mildly interested.

I'm more concerned about it being tied to the DCU which is completely non-interesting to me. If it's not in the same continuity as the previous animated series, that I could live with, but if it's part of DCU, not interested.

If it was tied to the DC TV properties, color me very interested though!

I would be interested if I still had faith in Cartoon Network. But if the series is good it is cancelled after 1-2 seasons and if it is not it continues for like several seasons.

this is a critique better aimed at dc, not cn. They're the ones who sank their entire budget into a bad movie and the decided to sacrifice their animation line because toy sales weren't doing well.

Also, if their remaining cartoon is so bad, why am I spending this weekend next to a GIGANTIC inflatable ad for it and the autograph session for the cast is almost at capacity?

What cartoon is that?

Regardless, popularity and quality aren't synonymous.

Cartoon Network 'cannot confirm' new Justice League series

Although they're not denying it either.

Cartoon Network is the one that cancelled Young Justice because the wrong demographic (as in girls instead of boys) was watching the show rather than trying to market to an audience they already had. The lack of faith in them is 100% justified.

Not to say one can't also have doubts about DC as well. It isn't binary, after all.

That's a popular rumor, but the show was cancelled because of economics, not demographics.

I'll believe Paul Dini over some dismissive guy on the internet.

I have horrible visions of a JLA series in the style of Teen Titans Go...

That wasn't what Dini said in the discussion with Kevin Smith (it's at around the 45 minute mark), and Greg Weisman flat out denies it.

no. DC pulled it because they sank all their cash into the GODAWFUL green lantern movie.

dc learned their lesson. Besides we don't need multiple parodies(as funny and thumb-in-the-eye as "let's get serious" is).

I hope Bruce Timm is involved.
