"Hello my name is Ammon and i do not die"
here are his stats at level 1, i plan on building for level 7
strength- 18
dexterity 12
constitution- 16
intelligence- 10
wisdom- 8
charisma-14
So the build idea here i want to build a Character who "does not die" hence the quote, and uses vital strike. Before anyone starts telling me how i should not to use Vital strike i should inform you all. His weapon of choice is giant sword when i mean giant sword I mean 2 handing a large bastard sword. The gm has so graciously allowed me to use one of the tiefling traits for using large weapons without penalty. for the record he is Qlippoth spawn and the racial scores are already factored in.
So my build idea is 2 level of Oracle of metal, netting me lead blades. i plan on using a feat to gain armor mastery and dance of blades. the curse powerless prophecy i have backstory reasons for that.
My question mainly is what should the main class be? i was thinking paladin but wanted the advice of the forums to clear out all the idea i know i am missing.
Now to tackle another future issue i am not doing this for min maxing necessarily, i honestly just like the idea of swinging around a giant sword. so to prove that here's a short bit of backstory.
Ammon is a tiefling orphan who grew up in a town where most people disliked him as he was a tiefling. One day he was picked up by a man named Duncan who took him in as a knight apprentice for the order of Ragathiel.
Ammon grew up reading stories of great heroes, dragon slaying, saving damsels, ectera. Little to his knowledge one of his favorite stories, was always changing. He never realized that this was his story(my idea powerless prophecy).
Ammon's Sword was given to him on the day he was officially knighted. Happy go lucky Ammon continues to chase after stories and legends in dream of becoming a legendary hero himself.
but anyway to emphasize Vital strike and feats to not die better im am thinking the toughness feats, diehard, ect

For not dying warpriest has a lot to recommend it, fervor-cast healing spells or condition removal work quite well providing the condition allows you a swift action. Works well with vital strike too, their bonus feats treat warpriest level as BAB. You would have to raise your wisdom to at least 12, probably at the expense of charisma.
If you're willing to be the epitome of LG, a paladin is the other obvious choice. Lay on hands and mercies to stay alive.

So unfortunatly i am restricted to these stats, my level four stat increase aside. so wisdom based classes are out.
as far as alignments and stereotypes go being the epitome of heroic is sort of part of the joke so Any g sided alignment is allowed. i am not really expecting to much in the way of casting with him so i am focusing on a few spells lead blades being one of them.

I think playing Abyssal Spell Eater Bloodrager would make better for your stats. You will have more health, Toughness as bloodline feat. Your Cha is good enough for you to cast any bloodrager spells, self buff as free action after level 11. As tiefling, it is one of the few ways you can get bigger to make use of your two handed large bastard sword. But if I were you, I would get huge because of your trait. Just take the feat for proficiency, this way you can deal 3d8 instead of 2d8 damage, enlarge from bloodline power makes you deal 4d8. If you get impact instead of lead blade on your weapon, so you can deal 6d8 damage without rely on spells. Which is the largest weapon damage you could possibly have without cheating or house rule. Also you will be able to take furious finish, its 24x8 weapon damage when combine with greater vital strike. 192 weapon damage alone, not included that you can get arcane strike and blooded arcane strike, which add another 20 to your damage as free action when you bloodrage. Nothing more heroic than dealing the finishing blow on the bad guy. With spell eater, you get enough fast healing to keep you
alive if you are smart. You can get damage reduction and AC from other source fairly easy, but not fast healing. Combine fast healing with decent amount of AC and Damage reduction on top of mirror image and miss chance from any source, you can't die in melee. However, you should worry about your saves. Most the time heroes get killed by failing saves, not losing health. That's why paladin is so powerful and spell caster dominate in late game. There are items to protect you from many things that require will saves, but not many from reflex saves.
I know that abyssal bloodrager might not seem very knightly, but you are tiefling, your blood will always come back to haunt you. A coward would like it take over, but a hero will use it for the greater good.

actually funny thing is i have been looking over things and recently considering bloodrager of the abyssal variety. although i was planning on steelblood (the heavy armor archetype). i was going to flavor the raging as a sort of Satsui no hadou, dark Ryu-esq thing. actually i've been talking it over with the gm, he suggested impact instead of lead blades so im doing that already.
