Liberty's Edge

So, after two episodes of The Muppets I can unequivocally say...

I have no idea what people are b++#%ing about.

It's funnier than most things on TV and it's more or less on the same level as The Muppet Show was (adjusting for the thirty years difference) as far as adult content goes.

For me, I started watching because I've always loved the Muppets. Their movies have been hit-or-miss but loved watching the old TV series when I was a kid.

The 1st episode was MEH, which didn't give me any hopes for this new series. Maybe the characters have lost their magic....

Then this week's episode happen and OMG! That was freaking hilarious! I was busting a gut almost the entire show! Ms Piggy's wardrobe assistant (don't know his name), Chef, Ms Piggy, and then Kirmy saying "By, by" near the end... solid gold!

Uncle Deadly, aka the Phantom of the Muppet Show

I loved Laurence Fishburne.

I'm still on the fence about it, but I liked the second episode better. I'm just not a fan of shows shot in this style (Like "The Office" and others).

Well, it may not help, but just like The Muppet Show was partly a parody of variety shows, The Muppets is a parody of silent observer mockumentaries. Just look at the title card.

I really enjoyed the first two episodes personally.
