Ups mail innovations is the worst

In order to save a little and squeeze in an extra book this month I downgraded my shipping to mail innovations and let me just say boy do I regret it. There has been no track able movement since the 25th and neither the post office nor ups knows what the status is. Back to priority shipping and a few less products for me, never again on mail innovations!

Hello Mine,

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with Mail Innovations. I took a look at the order and I see the same thing you do. The last tracking update was on Friday, September 25. I suspect USPS just hasn't precessed it yet and that we will see more movement on it in the next day or two. On the long end 8 business days from when it shipped out would put it arriving on or before Thursday, October 8. I'll keep an eye on it and if I don't see any movement on it yet when we start shipping the subscription orders next week I will get replacements sent out with your October subscription order.

Now that Customer Service answered, I don't feel bad posting here since it won't be accidentally delaying their response :)

I'll have to say that for UPS-MI tracking, I've found that their site sucks at tracking the USPS half of things. I get far more accurate information by copy/pasting the USPS tracking number they give and then tracking it directly with USPS.


Same for me. And sometimes, even then the tracking isn't great. I've sometimes checked the tracking and seen no activity for a few days and then an hour later there is activity recorded for the past few days.

I'll also say, I get the feeling the options for tracking in the both sides of the system are very limited. I once had a package that said it was out for delivery and then delivered. But I had been home all day and no package showed up. I called and was told that really UPS had given it to USPS. Another time, it said delivery was attempted but no one was home. Again, working from home most days, I knew that wasn't accurate. I actually went to the post office and asked about it. They basically said it had been recorded wrong and had really just missed being put on the mail truck for the day. I got it the next day.

I've never failed to actually get my package (though I'm sure that happens from time to time), but sometimes the tracking isn't the most useful. Though I have received letters on multiple occasions that were five years late in being delivered.
