I mean, if we adhere to describing magic by using map standards, spells can't produce anything other than sharp edged effects, despite having a listed radius...

Don't try thinking about implication of Init/Turns... :-)

I am glad my GM ruled that my eidolon is unaffected. He said he didn't want my most important class feature rendered useless by an AMF.

Now I will learn AMF somehow start having fun shenanigans with the enemy since we treat AMF as Personal range spell...

AMF grappler eidolon go!

Counterpoint: Spells are "the most important class feature" to wizards.

Enjoy your ruling.

I'd say, the only class feature. Summoners have spells and eidolons.

@alexd1976: I completely understand the awkwardness of trying to live in a minecraft world, but with this tactical grid based system, it really does make things more usable. Most people I know do not enjoy stopping to do geometrical calculations, well ever.

@Bard-Sader: Congratulations on getting the exception, that is very kind of your GM. May I recommend you do not abuse his kindness with tricks like putting an AMF on your eidolon? The whole, don't bite the hand that lets your character live.

I wouldn't do it simply for the reason that you don't want the GM to associate a particular player asking for generous rulings with that player abusing said rulings and making the GM regret it. All that is going to happen is that the GM is going to be a hard-ass with the rules, and it will be the player's fault.
