The Pale King |
I suppose as the first pick of table #2 I should also make the first post here, I am just doing the final touch ups on Malik, mostly I just need possessions and his last name (Trying to decide between Azul, Adraza, Alraza and Azraza). And I am trying to decided between taking grease or mage armour at first level.
So do we need to determine how our characters know eachother and how they formed a company (as well as the name of it) before the game begins?
bwatford |
Actually you are all going to be at the Tooth & Hookah at the beginning, having just arrived in Wati. About 5pm in the evening, along with other stragglers looking for companions before the 8pm cutoff to sign up for the next days lottery. Won't know each other yet. Just giving everyone the heads up so there is time for discussion of a adventuring company name etc before play starts.
Once you have completed your character modifications and you are all done, then please let me know so I can get it all input into herolab to make it official on my end.
Anset Ossari |
Howdy folks. Looking forward to the game.
I still need to rework my character a bit. I'll have time to do it this weekend.
bwatford |
Again to all of you. Welcome to the game. Please let me know as soon as your character tweaks are all done and ready for me to import into herolab and generate an official character sheet for the game.
The game starts next Tuesday July 22nd, feel free to dot in the game play thread so it is easier for you to pull the game from your profile and get your character listed.

@Saedue
Ok you are up next, please verify everything on your official character sheet is correct.
Saedue Menura Official Character Sheet
I did find a few errors that I corrected for you.
1. You get a free outfit for starts so I gave you a hot weather outfit.
2. You put a point in Disable Device put had no tools so I bought you a pair of Thieves Tools.
3. Chellish is not a official pathfinder language. Most Chelaxians speak Taldane, also known as Common, a language which they share with much of central and southern Avistan. So I swapped out Chellish for Osirioni since Ancient Osirioni and Modern Osirioni are two different languages.
You currently are at 56.88 pounds which is a medium load. (Speed: 20 Max Dex +3, Armor Check -3, Run x4)
To be at a light load you would need to be at 43 pounds or under.
With the changes above you have ~15 gold remaining.

Two new items have been added to the campaign information tab:
Player Hand Outs
Enviromental Considerations
I suggest everyone read over the environmental rules.
Also current in game location, date and weather has been added to the tab.

Malik Adraza |
I think I will drop having a melee weapon at all and then as many coins as it takes to just eek in just under a light load. It'll have to do, because I very much prefer not to have the nerf of a medium load.

Ok this is what I did to bandage you up,,,, lol
Replaced the spear with a dagger (Cause you never know.)Exchanged 70 of your 71 gold for 7 platinum, (Less coins means less weight.)
You are now light.
Have a look:

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Ok lets run over a few house rules for the campaign.
1. Natural 20's are automatic critical's if the creature struck is not immune to them. You DO NOT have to roll to confirm these. Other numbers within your critical range still have to be confirmed as normal. Also there is a chance (determined by the GM randomly) of something special happening during a natural 20 critical.
2. Natural 1's are always fumbles. A natural 1 on an attack roll will usually have an effect (determined randomly by the GM).
3. All monsters and creatures are effected by the natural 1 rule above as well. However only named bad guys will get the natural 20's rule above. If they are not a named bad guy then they have to confirm a natural 20 critical just like normal and have 0 chance of a special effect.
3. We will be using Hero Points in the game, however they are story based and not level based. So you DO NOT start with any and they will be handed out by the GM as part of the story progression and not gained at every level. You can have a maximum of 3 in the characters possession at anytime unless you choose a feat that changes that.
4. We will be using the Ultimate Campaign Downtime Rules for downtime in the game if you so choose to use them. Otherwise you can just have your character work a skill or trade for a few gold during the downtime days. Downtime will be handled mainly in the discussion thread and not in the main play thread. I also will be awarding the three types of capital listed in the downtime rules at times during the game, Goods, Labor, Influence and Magic. If your character is awarded capital and you do not intend to use the downtime system then you may give it to another player or sell it for its earned cost.
I think that is all of them........ If you have any questions feel free to ask them.
Bjoern Ghostbear |
Well just an information for the others.
As a human ranger has 7 Skillpoints. 5 are relativly fix but I could change Know nature and geography. If someone says we would need a skill desperatly, tell me and I can still swap them around. Otherwise, I think Bjoern is relativly done.
bwatford |
Ok Bjoern is mostly input, I need to address 2 things I saw wrong on the sheet.
First, you get 7 skillpoints but you have 8 allocated in your skills list (Disable Device, Dungeoneering, Geography, Nature, Perception, Sailor, Stealth & Survival.
You need to drop one.
Second. You misfigured the cost of the Alkali Flask as they are 15 gold and not 10 gold each. I dropped it to one instead of two since you didn't have the gold.
Your encumbrance is currently 163.91 pounds.
Here is your sheet to verify everything is correct. Let me know how you are addressing the above issues.
bwatford |
Ok Amal, I got you input into Hero-Lab and I have a few questions/observations for you.
How are you spending your Favored Class Bonus?
You are carrying 48.2 pounds of equipment which is a medium load for your character (Need to be under 38 pounds to be light.)
You have ~55 gold remaining (You get one outfit for free so it freed up a little gold.)
Let me know how to spend the Favored Class Bonus and any changes that need to be made.
Look over and verify everything else is correct on your character sheet.
bwatford |
Tuesday is almost here.... Official campaign start day. I will be around most of the day to answer post and questions.
If you have not finalized your character yet, please do so at this time. I think we are almost complete with Amal so that just leaves Anset who is 90& done.
Everyone has enough done on their characters to start posting in the game thread.
Let's jump it off to a grand start.
The MUMMY's MASK has BEGUN!!!!!
Anset Ossari |
Howdy folks. Sorry I'm late to the party. Good looking group we have here.
Amal Tabloorasa |
Sorry! Been busy with work n'stuff.
Use the favored class bonus for 1/6 of a Rogue Talent
And to drop weight, replace all torches for 3 sunrods, drop 4 rations, convert gold to platinum and thats about it. Everything else is kinda vital so i am hoping someone will be able to carry something for me.
Anset Ossari |
Glad to know I'm not the only one being driven crazy by the encumbrance rules. Access to a Handy Haversack can't come fast enough.

If we are going to get table #2 off the ground we are going to have to get a little more focused and organized, everybody needs to be posting a minimum of once per day. If you are too busy in real life I understand but please let me know so that I can find a replacement for you. It bogs down everything when you don't post and people are waiting on you. The way I run each scene is really simple. I didn't think I needed to post it for the meetup scene since everyone should know the goal.
Current Scene: Tooth & Hookah
Objective: Acquire lodging, Form a group, Pick a name, Pick a leader/spokesman
In each scene once the objectives are met then when your character is ready and has nothing else they would like to do in the current area then just post a OOC in one of your post that says they are finished and ready to move on.
This lets me know when I can fade to black and cut to the next scene.
Thanks in advance everyone,
Billy
