Deepmar?!

I think of implementing the module "No response from Deepmar"!
I thought of the rebells having need of a prisoner who would either make a good addition to their ranks, or who just has infos the rebells desperately need.
When the rebells start to try getting an official allowance to visit the island, they themselves, or a spy get's the info, that something's amiss in Deepmar. This might just be the perfect time to get there in secret...
Anyone else planning something like this, or who has an idea how to stage this better?

I don't know the fine details about when to place it in. However, it looks like the best bet would be at some point during Dance of the Damned. The description implies that the PCs leave Kintargo for a bit, which is the perfect time to make a side-trek to Deepmar. Also, it appears the PCs will be just around 8th level, which is what the module is designed for.

Indeed, fitting Deepmar in during the 3rd adventure is the best bet, since you're traveling all over the place in the region in that one. The transition from the 3rd to the 4th adventure, though, is one of the tightest ones we've done...

Spoiler:
in that the instant part 3 ends, part 4 begins, so you'll want to have the Deepmar stuff happen before the last act of "Dance of the Damned" begins.

Any idea if there's a person in the AP which would fit as a prisoner in Deepmar to be freed by the rebels?

There's a lot of prisoners to be freed in the AP, but they're pretty tied into locations and plots for the AP. It'd be best to add a new NPC to Deepmar... preferably one with specific ties to a PC. A family member or the like, perhaps?

A bit late to the party, but there's a nice possibility for GMs looking to run No Response from Deepmar at this point in the timeline, without having to make drastic changes for the PCs' higher level: run it with some of the NPCs.

Seriously, at this point, the PCs will have half a dozen NPC allies of about the correct level kicking about, and everybody involved should want to prove they're up to the task of running the country. That means not relying on hired adventurers to solve all your problems, like the module assumes.

Could make for a nice in-betweener session.
