Better options than a spellslinger

Advice

I'm looking toward designing a Gene Starwind character for an upcoming game, but spellslinger feels wanting. I want to effectively use guns and emulate a caster gun. Any ideas?

Myrmidarch magus is an option, although you have to wait until 4th level for Ranged Spellstrike. A one level dip in spellslinger for the free proficiencies, Arcane Gun, and Mage Bullets can expand the character's capabilities, but myrmidarch magus is already a little short on spell slots.

A Gunslinger with a few Spell Storing alchemical cartridges works. A Spellslinger works just fine if you craft them yourself.

Lv1 Spellslinger Wizard/lv19 sorcerer works wonders.

spellslinger using words of power?

Words of Power is what I went with when I wanted to play a similar concept, using Arcane Archer as a base. GM did a house-ruling, since I wanted to do it with Gunslinger/Sorcerer. Mysterious Stranger or Empyreal Bloodline to get the other class' stat to match the first one, your choice.

Another option for 'upgraded' bullets is the Grenadier Alchemist, and the Explosive Missile feat, mixed with Gunslinger (Siege Gunner keys off of INT for Grit) or another Full BAB of your choice. Fighter will bring the most combat feats to the table, but Ranger has some better situational bonuses and can skip pre-reqs with their Combat Style bonus feats.

If you don't mind being a Gnome, the Experimental Gunsmith can launch alchemical items, like tanglefoot bags, from firearms and increase the DC as you level. (Is there any other way to increase the DC of similar items?)
