Slitherine's games sell for $20+ but they are a very niche market - wargame conversions - which drives up the costs. $20 is basically Final Fantasy VII land - and you're expecting to pay for DLC on top of that.

The psychology of the market drives people towards FTP games that do suck more out of them, but over time - which annoys me, because it means that people will pay that amount of money, but only if they're tricked into doing it.

I would like the option of a "season pass" for the PACG digital app - basically buying the whole AP in advance.

I think I was being generous with the high side of my estimates. Even the $5-10 AD's seem like they're too high. We'll see. I'm sure whatever it is I'll pay it. :)

FYI, we trust our partners to make their own business decisions when it comes to things like this—they know their business better than we do.

Well dang it, just started a new job and no PTO for 3 months. :(

On the plus side, "will there be a digital version" was a question at every pre ACG release panel I went to so I am quite happy to see this market is also being explored (and optimally acquired instead of banished!) :)

Look at the rise of Napster vs the current streaming services. If you price it too high then people will just take other alternatives. If it reasonably priced and well done then people won't bother looking for alternatives.

I don't know that I would start with RoTR either. Its really not very good compared to the newer paths.

Wrath didn't exist when they started development, and Shackles wasn't done. Runelords was the only completely ready product at the time I believe. Also, since there will be a lot of new-to-the-game buyers I'm sure, starting with the easier "beginner"-type set is the best idea. Get them into the game, then up the challenge.

I'm guessing the digital version is single player?

A blue tooth option for co-op multiplayer would be so sweet (thinks back to the days of mario kart or tetris on the Nintendo DS)

They've announced single and pass-and-play multiplayer. No word on any form of local multiple device or online multiplayer.

Hmmm, ok... thanks for the info!

As someone who works on the Digital Version of Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. This is going to be well worth the wait. ;)

Bias aside of course!

One of the reasons I am planning to get the iPad Pro is to play PACG on it on a bigger screen! I hope it is optimized for that device as well

Well It as well can be 40 $ for bace game and 20$ for expansios like the real game.

But we will see it soon enough.

Or even better free bace game with b-level adventure and $ for each scenario!
So everybody adventure would cost 25$ if you would buy each scenario for each adventure. That way it would seems smaller amount of money, but total would be the same.
The psychology olygy efektejä mentioned above ;-)
A lot of Microsoft paimentaa. Maybe you could TaKe money for each hero character separately and you would only get one for free?
Perfekt money hog :-)

Hannibal in hope it's not that much :/

I'm looking forward to it but unlike some of you it seems, price point _will_ be a factor

( in essence how much am I willing to lay for IP I already own, and how much is not having to shuffle worth to me)

That's not going to be a massive sum

I will say that I have absolutely no doubt the price will never be $25 an adventure. No way it ever gets priced above the physical, that's borderline guaranteed doom.

As someone who started with S&S, I'm ecstatic that RotR is the version they started with!

I'm currently very worried about the lack of anything coming out, especially since Nathan indicated that they were waiting on business and marketing.

Why worry about it? Ignore it until it actually releases. Then you won't be disappointed if it doesn't happen (this month/this year/next year/ever) or doesn't come out on your platform of choice.

Besides, nothing seems to have changed about development so far. Occasional demo at an event followed by silence as they hunker down and work on the thing. ::shrug::

Card interactions Are hard to program. It takes time to make it right. The game engine seems to be ready, but. There will be a tons of bugs in there at this moment. There Are so Many combinations that can occur during the game. Some time willain is not in the site deck, even the most time it is there. Sometimes the willain can not be defeated, even most scenarios she can be, and so on. Card games Are complicated because the cards brake the normal rules.
