Oberyn Martell, The Red Viper of Dorne

It's August, and a new month means a new entry in my Game of Thrones character conversion. I built the Mountain months ago, and we now have the Red Viper to go with him.

Thoughts, feelings, opinions?

The Wakazashi and Rapier are both one-handed piercing weapons with a decent Crit range (18-20/2X), and are both common weapons for Swashbucklers (if you take the Swashbuckler class rather than the Rogue archetype, then you get to use Martial Weapons, and Ninja automatically gets proficiency with the Wakazashi and Katana). More importantly, they are actual swords, and not wooden poles with sharp rocks on the end.

Some ranged weapon back-up would be highly recommended. Since he is a Rogue, I would suggest the Hand Crossbow.

Why not make the Rogue levels Unchained, and pick up the Elven Branched Spear? This would give Dex x1.5 to damage when wielded two-handed, as well as a bonus on AoOs caused by movement. You can even keep the Poisoner archetype.

Not a bad suggested Polydactyl. I'd say that if folks want to use an elven weapon and claim it's Dornish, then that would work well enough. Generally I try to make suggestions that fit the character's home setting.
