Well if you wanted best yes feather.
I was under the impression you didn't want much book keeping. An animal companion is basically another character.
I recommend evangelist Archetype. Take feather.
As for feats sacred summoning will make you drop an army in a standard action and doing bardic performance as a move action at 7th level. You will to shred targets.
Also I like varient channeling. A few of them are really good.

I've seen the confusion variant channeling end daunting encounters with little effort.

This is a complication but worthy of note... Inquisitions have a lot of passive abilities. Though they are not as good as domains they are very simple and passive in nature. For example the conversion inquisition gives a generic convert charisma mod to wisdom mod to mouth skills (simple). Or a tactics inquisition at level 8 offers a simple bonus to initiative to the group as opposed to tactics domain rerolls x per day.

grab a race that get a bite attack (or take the adopted trait and pick the orc\half orc racial tusekd trait)
and pick the dragon domain. at 4th level you gain a breath attack, pick acid. then at 5th level you can take noxious bite. and the dc is based on your cleric level and wis modifier ;) (later on you can even pick ability focus(breath weapon) for a +2 to the breath and bite dc. you can go with getting multipal attack via extra aoo with combat reflexes or go the cleave tree anyway. bite down and hard and have fun with it
