Puzzle Box prize ideas?

I am GMing tonight, and I want one of the loot items my players find to be a puzzle box. After making some engineering, disable device, and maybe a lingustics or intelligence checks, I would like there to be a prize in the middle. My players are playing Kingmaker and are only in book one at level 3. But I want the prize to be exciting and fun. I don't know exactly how large a puzzle box is? Thanks!

maybe a Tiny construct? I'm currently on a construct high at the moment lol.

what about a Snap Jaw Homunculus? could be cool to give the party a little mascot thats useful in a fight. I know its neutral evil but you could always just make it True neutral but loyal to the party or you could even make it neutral good. that could be why it was sealed away in a puzzle box. was no use to its evil creator haha.

I like the idea of a tiny construct in the box. I read that the snap jaw will attack anyone who is not the master. Would it be loyal to the whole party or just the one who opened it?

And I apologize, but I don't really understand the kyton one. xD There are different types of kyton, did you have one it mind? And what is "Pleasure Toast". I'm imagining some time of aphrodisiac food? ...but I know that is wrong. xDDD

at the end of the day its your game so you can decide whether or not to make it loyal to one or the group. also they have an intelligence of 10 so there not a regular animal. they can be reasoned. might make sense to make it loyal to one, and have the telepathic link with that person. may seem unfair to the others but it helps everybody and its a good way to balance out maybe one of the weaker characters of the party if they aren't currently equal.
