Anyone here? If so, come out.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Understandable. Was just wondering where everyone else went at the same time, lol.

Journal entry: DATA CORRUPTED!
Just listening to the chirp of crickets, watching a lone tumbleweed blow through the play thread. I think we lost Zanven to a sinkhole a few weeks back; he was there one moment and gone the next. There's only faint, rapidly-fading evidence of life in this once-thriving location. I occasionally see a something out the corner of my that resembles a new post, but when I look closely, I see nothing.
The silence and isolation is getting to me. Overdosing on lemon PEZ to end the suffering is looking increasingly appealing.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
No worries, everyone else has effectively poofed off as well. I think it's a hiatus at this point.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Well, your campaign, so you get to kiss the various sleepers awake, lol.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
The latest advancement in gnomish technology: Stealth Gnomes! Invisible until they choose not to be :D.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Still lurking :). Think that it's well past time for some folks to be extensively DMPC'd.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
The scout group is lucky, lol, the only one missing is Zanven. He could have been eaten by a doppleganger when they weren't looking.
Pazeek is waiting on Octavian though, and that abscence is a little harder to get around ;p.
Vinsomner |
So Tsakua dropped from the game.
Jietin is busy with real life, so is Octavian.
Zanven, not sure where he is right now.
Serin, still no where to be seen.
I'm pretty sure mostly everyone else is just waiting for things to happen. Right now I'd say for yourself Pazeek is to time lapse, and act as if your situation with Octavian is resolved.
Life for me has gotten a bit hectic, so my connection to paizo has gotten spotty and I know I'm bringing the game to a halt because of it. My posting will still be a bit spotty. Weekends have gotten to be almost a no post at all from me due to how busy I've been.
I might have a move in the near future, crossing my fingers, as two companies are reviewing my application. So I hope I'll hear from them soon with good news. But I'll inform everyone about that if it does come to pass.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
What, no more Tsakua? Bummer. Glad Octavian and Jietin are still sticking with it though.
No word from Iraldia, I take it?
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Guessing Tsakua dropped out for good then, instead of just a temporary thing?
Jietin |
Sorry for the delays and absences in my posting. I have now completely moved into my new apartment and just went through orientation for my internship. It seems I will have a pretty normal 40 hour work week, a 9-5 job (eastern time) for Monday-Friday. So my posting will mostly be in the evenings and weekends, although I usually play with my local group on Sunday. Thanks for bearing with me through this time of change.
Jietin |
Thank you. My internship is a development engineer with Zimmer Biomet, and the main project I'm going to be working on is researching the cause of abnormally low density in trabecular metal. In layman's terms, we're trying to figure out why the materials used in knee replacements aren't as strong as they're supposed to be.
Although today I spent a good hour and a half smashing a hammer into a prototype to make sure it wouldn't break. The blisters on my hand are not happy with me.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Someone skimping on materials maybe, trying to cut costs by using an "almost as good" grade of material? If the knee joints use any kind of vacuum or injection forming, maybe bad seals letting in contaminants?
Toyer Pepwinnhans |
Huh small world! I grew up near Zimmer, and now I'm a physical therapist so I work with people who have their products inside them now. Good luck on the internship!

Hey everyone... Life has been pretty busy lately and I'm going to be experiencing a job change here very soon so I'm going to be unable to continue GMing for awhile. I hate doing this but I think I should've done it a bit earlier...
I don't want to keep this activity fluctuating and it has been driving players away. I feel like everyone deserves either constant activity or a temporary hiatus. I'm unable to guarantee times that I will be able to post right now and I don't want to keep everyone guessing on when the next post will be.
Combined with a few other players having things coming up in their lives that are preventing them from being regularly active as well so I think this is for the best.
I don't know how long the Hiatus will be. It could be from a month to a couple. I'll try and answer any questions anyone has.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Well I sort of figured a hiatus was in the works, to be honest. Don't worry about me bailing on the campaign, I'm willing to stick it out.
Is there any way you could tag in a replacement GM with an outline of where things are supposed to go? I figure just screwing around with the mining camp, finding a new lair in the ruins (or prepping for evac), and that unit of the king's troops approaching should keep things busy for at least a few months of posting.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Life sign check! Still here, still interested!
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Still pecking about...
Pazeek Splitbeak |
Still pecking about, waiting.

Alrighty, as I'm catching up on my notes (old ones for when I was running it) I would like to request all who are coming back to ask for any adjustments for how it was run before. Want to iron out any more kinks that have appeared over the course last time.
Also to do a sound off, I would like everyone to chime in on this. Right now Jietin is having trouble posting to the discussion thread for some reason, I'm trying to resolve that minor issue.
Pazeek Splitbeak |
I'm still game. Can't think of any adjustments off of the top of my head.
Should have a recap post though.
Pazeek was in camp, and had just acquired his new breastplate courtesy of Octavian's field expedient mage-smithing. He examined Octavian's horse using his critter knowledge, passed the results on--in detail, lol--and agreed to teach Octavian critter management (whatever that works out to in Octavian's mind) in exchage for learning how to not suck at making cool magic stuff with his shiny mythic trick.
The breastplate pretty much blew through Pazeek's split of the available resources; I think there's enough for maybe a fully-charged wand with a 1st level spell, and not even a 1st level ranger spell at that, thanks to the caster level adjustment there. So juicing Pazeek's weapons have to wait, alas.
Pazeek then took part in a discussion about what the camp should do next, in regards to staying, relocating, or fleeing entirely, with a side discussion about the nearby mining camp. No decisions were reached, again.
