So far these two are the new additions so far into the campaign. Now Thomen would've been with the camp, so his introduction into the group will be easy and seamless. The group will naturally pick up an additional warrior when they head out again and discover Thomen has been mythically touched. When I decide that happened, is coming.

Zanven on the other hand will be a different story. I'll be working on an introduction pretty soon that will feel more natural then the previous "Well you were just here so deal with it" situation. Hopefully you wont have to wait too long before your introduced into the setting. I'll pm you with some more details.

THomen: You will be assuming one the NPC's in the camp. You can notice the Paladin Serin is gone, and approach the other players about it. Also just for clarification, you were among the group of slaves being transported that were liberated by the party (just a slight modification to your background is all). You do not need to update it for now, unless you feel the need to. So you may get ready to jump right into the game.

Welcome to the show, folks! Pazeek is another relative newcomer to the camp. He's a melee ranger that, depending on the situation, goes for either manufactured or natural weapons. He can craft, sneak, scout, and do a few other handy things besides when he's not breaking stuff for fun and profit.

He's usually chatty and friendly, but in a bit of a mood at the moment, as his companion critter just got reduced to chunky salsa by a rigged golem.

@Vinsomner: Instead of just dropping Serin as though he never was, maybe rotate him to NPC status and park him in camp? Could be that his (the player) internet got eaten by a bad storm or something of that sort, or something similarly inconvenient but ultimately temporary.

Jietin is the big, ugly, scary front-line barbarian that smashes things in his way. He can lose himself in his rage too, so you might learn to keep your distance or get some calming techniques for when I finally fail one of the will saves ;)

That last fight would have been a very bad time considering the mythic enlarge person on him while he was in the middle of everybody. That damage was terrifying.

Yeah, you just blasted through the dmg thresholds I set on the golems. You just hit them like a truck loaded with dynamite. I would be afraid of what you'd do to your peers if you went rampant.

Well, Pazeek obviously didn't get much chance to show his stuff on the bridge with the golems (seriously, DR 10 eats so much ass when your name isn't Jietin >_<), but I think the first skeleton victim of his tengu fury would be impressed.

Which one is the "glowing one" that is summoning more? I can't seem to tell them apart on the battle map.

It's the one by the black pillar furthest to the left, with another standing guard two squares to the immediate right.

If you need someone to move you about, like I do, it really helps to blue text your exact movement path for the helpful type who does so :).

Yo guys. Bit of a shameless plug here, after a mental debate I've decided to run a dungeon challenge game of sorts designed to test players/builds and push them to the limit. Woo, things are hopping back at camp, and the rescue team is already moving flat-out to boot. Hope they can actually hold for four rounds...

Say, could Pazeek get there faster if he popped wings, got his feathery butt above all that forest crap in the way, and flew straight in?

I've also been checking the rules quite thoroughly, and Pazeek can apparently carry up to his maximum load (200 lbs.) while flying with either no penalty at all, or a 10-foot speed reduction (depending on how the rules are read), and kobolds don't weigh a lot either. Depending on how much those little fellows weigh with their gear, Pazeek could temporarily unload a couple of his pouches and carry up to three geared-up kobolds.

Okay so each kobold weighs roughly 30 ish pounds. With their gear, add an additional 25 ish. That would put each kobold roughly around 55 pounds give or take.

Now you could get their faster by flying, your not traveling over difficult terrain and you can get pretty fast. Carrying kobolds, I wouldn't think you could really get their fast then the ones of foot. By RAW you could, but getting the kobolds to agree to the idea is another thing.

So technically yes, but logicly you'll have to persuade me with how you would be able to carry them yourself. Granted, Kobolds are small and tengu's medium.

A kobold in the left hand,

and a screaming little kobold,
hanging on for dear life!

And considering it's four rounds to the camp, the kobold carrying is probably best saved for another time, since it would be round to get the wings out and mention the idea, at least one more to talk them into it, a third to get them settled and launch, and then we'd be there anyway.
