How do you keep Gom-Gom from getting burned?

What do you think of the other Iconics? Who would you have go into an adventure with you?

1) I like bulgogi. Eomma said sometimes she would grill it over a campfire on her adventures.

2) Does doenjang count as a vegetable? Pajeori is a spicy hot salad. That's pretty good too! You can put your bulgogi in a lettuce with some pajeori for a real treat!

3) Have you ever had hwachae? I used to have them sometimes as a treat. Aengdu hwachae is made of cherries, and it's pretty yummy.

4) The hottest creature is a fire mental. Duh!

Now my turn. Why do you love the dark so much, Gars? You know that the fire makes it not dark, so if fire doesn't love the dark, why do you?

I just don't burn him with my fire! He's my friend, and friends don't burn friends with fire.

Now I have a question for you: If you make fajitas out of gnolls, and gnolls are a type of people, that means you eat people! That sounds bad. Are you also a gnoll? Making things hot and crispy is good, but not if you're eating people.

Just how old are you?

Maybe I have a dark personality and/or past.

Do you like burning Trolls?

Have you ever tried burning copper coins?
How about lead pellets, or different kinds of salts?
Back when you lived with your dad and grandma, did you have any friends besides Gom-Gom?

What is the best idea you think you've ever had Yoon?

Dark Archive

I am in fact a Gnoll! While I do make Gnoll Fajitas, they aren't fajitas made out of Gnolls, they're just Gnoll style Fajitas. The best type of Gnoll Fajita is Soylent Green and Sweeney Todd's meat pie mixture, topped with my special sauce.

Maybe? Don't you know for sure about your own personality and/or past?

Burning trolls is fun because trolls are really mean and bad and they kill people, and only fire can kill them because acid is dumb, so we're ignoring it, OK?

Are there any iconics that you have met in your adventures yet?

zergtitan wrote:

My favorites are Alahazra and Feiya.

Alahazra has a strong heart and is pretty OK with fire, although not as good as me. She has things to teach me about other stuff, and I can help her out with fire!

Feiya is kind of like a big sister in some ways when we adventured together. We're both Tian, and a lot of those other adventurers are from weird exotic lands far far away, and we both think the Lady of the North Star is awesome and had some bad times in the past but found a really cool place on a journey and now we have really bright futures! Also Daji is cute, but not as cute as Gom-Gom. Gom-Gom thinks Daji is OK, though, and Gom-Gom is sometimes shy around strange animals.

Have you ever been told that you are too young to go on adventures?

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I know you would choose to expand your skills with fire as you become a more experienced adventurer, but if you had to select one of the other elements to wield (while still having fire) which one would you take? Earth, Air, or Aether?

I'm assuming you'll never want to use water.

1. Does Gom-Gom get along with the dolls Feiya & Lini carry on their belts?
2. Are any of the other Iconics fun to play with?

John Kretzer wrote:

Sometimes, but those people are silly. I think maybe they don't know how awesome I am with fire! I wonder if they ever tell Ezren and Estra that they're too old to go on adventures? And if Estra's ghost friend beats them up if they do that?

Miss Yoon,

Your perspective might be fresh and new. Have you found others on your travels that have refused to listen to your advice/support or have deliberately attempted to 'protect' you in combat beyond what what might expect?

Water is terrible and bad and icky. Aether is kinda cool I guess because you could use it with blue flame and just do a really really big fire. And maybe go invisible and things like that.

What element would you pick? Fire, right?

Hey, Yoon, none of of the other Iconics bothered to put the word Iconic on their forum ID. Did you think we wouldn't know otherwise? Why don't you have an avatar picture?

Hey Yoon.

Let's say that I knew of a group of bards that were planning on devoting an entire month to the study of occult powers. Let's say those bards needed a banner to use to promote their study.

How would you feel about that awesome picture of you countering a white dragon's breath attack being their banner. Theoretically, of course. ;-)

We freelance photogoblers for The Daily Fishwrapper have been trying to get a picture of The Friendly Neighborhood Scorcher-Yoon menace, but the extreme heat she generates battling her foes keeps ruining the daguerréotype plates before we can develop an image successfully. But don't worry, EiC J. Jonah Jacobsaur doesn't give up, and I imagine you'll be seeing her pic sooner than later.

Feiya said that hers is something I can't remember what's it's called but I think like ganji or something. You can use it to hex people. So it's kinda creepy. Lini's dolls are kind of simple and woodsy. They are in awe of Gom-Gom's worldyishness and how he's traveled to so many places.

It's kind of fun to tease Alain because he's a big jerk. Sometimes it's fun to play games with Valeros because he gets confused from all his drinks and then he loses, even though he's a grown-up.

Yes, and it's really really annoying, like when someone makes rude sounds every time you're trying to talk. Has that ever happened to you?

Actually, it's why I like fighting swarms! If someone is trying to be like that and misunderestimate me or something, and then there's some swarms, they change their mind really quick! You're a learner, but also maybe a crisis, so does anyone try to protect you from the crisis?

Actually? Yes. It has. Doesn't happen as much as it used to, though.

I'll keep you in my book for swarm crisis situations. They can be kind of terrifying -- last time I fought one I almost took a bath in my own alchemist's fire. OW.

And recently there was a situation in Absalom that we're really not supposed to talk about where the group I was working alongside kind of threw themselves in the way of the enemy in front of us... I think it was because I had the only effective combat healing that could help the entire party...

Back at you!

Do you or Gom-Gom like fire more? Did you ever light something on fire that when you looked back it suddenly seem like it wasn't a good idea anymore?

Well duh, that's the best banner, since white dragons are stupid and use cold attacks and are weak to fire. That's why they lose every time!

But if they do that, then the bards have to talk about how awesome fire is every time or else the picture won't fit with their story that time!

What is the biggest fire you have ever set?

Have you ever used bodies of water as a sort of 'resistance training' to increase the strength of you flames? As in, shooting flames into the water, attempting to burn away more and more water with each successive blast?

I like fire more than Gom-Gom. Gom-Gom is a little bit scared of fire sometimes, but I'm not scared of fire because fire is my friend! Except the black flame, but that doesn't count. It was cold...

Sometimes I light things on fire and other people think it wasn't a good idea, but it was still usually a good idea. Like those fireworks that one time; so pretty!!!

So you never said last time, but is is true that your name is Wei Ji because you are named after the Tian word for crisis?

What are you, Erzen, and Erasmus doing in that one picture in Occult Adventures where you're making it rain fire and Erzen is busy looking terrified?

Which Iconic is the most interested in your fire powers?

Which Iconic do you get along with the best? How about Gom-Gom?

Do you have any role models?

Do you wish there were more Iconics your age to hang out with? Or do you like spending more time with adults?

Well I can answer that first question. She's burning the ropes that Erzen is being hung by. He's got ropes around his wrists and a noose around his neck, silly.

Gordrenn Higgler wrote:

I've traveled to lots and lots of places, starting with my journey to Hwanggot, but even to azotic places like Avistan, with its weird people and their funny things they do, customs I think it's called. Did you know that in Avistan, everyone says their family name last, like their family isn't important but only they are important? Like if you were from Avistan, then your family name would be Higgler, or some people in Avistan don't even have a family name and their second name is just all about them because they are so selfish, so if it was like that then your name would be Gordrenn, the guy who higgles a lot. Oh, and also, in Avistan, when you offer someone a gift, they just take it. Rude much? Also they eat funny. And more things too.

As for other kineticists, well, you know how Seelah is always so sad when she has to work with evil people for the bigger good? I had something like that happen. They made a picture of it, which is really embarrassing. Basically, I was being attacked by horrible sea monsters called chuuls, and I had to team up with a horrible sea monster called an undine that had water powers, and together we steamed the chuul.

Eomma told stories about wishing magic, but she said it was very dangerous and could make bad things happen even if you wish for good things. Like I might wish for Eomma or Appa to come back, but then they have to leave their happy time waiting for me with the Lady of the North Star and turn into an evil zombie or something! So maybe I shouldn't do it!

John Kretzer wrote:

I dunno. When fires spread really big, you can't always see how far they go. Sometimes a big fire like that is the best way to do a quest!

What about you; ever set a fire that big?

"Resistance training?" I don't want to train water to gain fire resistance; water's scary and dangerous enough already! You're right that I sometimes shoot fire at the water to burn it away into steam, but if I'm training the water to get stronger resistance against me, I better stop! Thanks Mr. Tels. Next time I need to use a searing flame to cut down on that resistance.

One doesn't get stronger, by training against the weak. You need to find challenging opponents to increase the strength of your flames. If that means you are creating that challenging opponent, by making the most flame resistant water in the world, then so be it. You know you'll always have someone, or something, worthy of training against.

Hey Yoon, I was wondering... If you ever team up with a geokineticist in the future, one who is able to pull metal from the ground, how awesome would it be to blast it with your blue flame and cause the enemy to get coated in molten metal?

I mean, fire itself is pretty awesome (even though I use air), but come on... molten metal!

Alexander Augunas wrote:

Look more closely at Ezren. He was all like "I'm a wizard and my magic is more versatile than your fire and I control the cosmos and can do anything by just preparing the right spells and you just make fire." And then a haunt happened and Ezren couldn't do anything to stop it because wizard, and it made a noose that started to hang him and make him die. So then he couldn't breathe and so he couldn't cast spells. Erasmus was trying to like get the haunt to go into his body and stop strangling Ezren, but I just burned the rope. At a time like that, you have to burn the rope. Who's the most powerful now? I coulda done that even if I was the one being strangled.

I dunno, maybe Alahazra. Neither of us chose to have fire powers, so we have that in common.

Uhh, I like a lot of them except the ones that say I'm too little to go on adventures or who think that magic people who change around their spells are just better than everyone else. Those people are the worst. Feiya is pretty cool because she also had to deal with bad stuff when she was my age, so she respects me more than some others, and she's Tien too, so she's a little like an older sister. Gom-Gom likes Lini because of how her dolls look up to him. He's easily influenced by stuff like that, not like me.

Eomma is my role model. She was the awesomest adventurer ever.

Quote:

I'm not all the way grown up yet, but I wish grown-ups would treat me less like a kid. I sometimes have more in common with grown-up adventurers than I do with other kids. But you're right; if there was another kid who was a real adventurer like me, then they wouldn't like the ones who are big babies, and that would be pretty cool!
