A strange cat gave me a magic brooch! Now it's my bonded item.

I'm building a Arcane Bloodline Sorc based on Sailor Moon. In the first episode she saves a magic cat who later gives her a magic brooch which lets her become sailor moon. As such I've decided to have my character's bonded item be a necklace.

The question is: What necklace should it be?

Any ideas?

Do you mean what magic item should you craft it into later? Or what style of necklace?

Isn't Sailor Moons Cat kind of like a familiar?

It's a mascot familiar. Sailor Moon is a special case of the GM granted her both a familiar and a bonded item. I want Naoko Takeuchi as my GM too if this is the kind of special treatment her players get.

As for the question, it's a locket, so a picture of someone close to your sorcerer wouldn't be out of the question.

I have so many fun memories of that show.

Nah, Luna's just an awakened animal

Remember, you are required to vividly describe the scene every time your character prepares to go into combat.

True, I wouldn't say her hp, bab, natural armor, or skill ranks scale in any way.

Except for that one...episode?...where there was a guy she liked, and she did the thing. ...ok, so it has been a couple decades...

Anyway, general point- she does not really get to a consistant level that would keep her relevant in fights. She is more an awakened animal optimized for Profession (nanny). A skill point, skill focus, a class skill (perhaps via a triat that gives a +1), decent wisdom and int for knowledge checks too.

Probably NPC Adept, she needs some kind of hammer space spell.

For the necklace, the amulet of natural armor is boring but cost effective, a necklace of adaptation allows you to go to strange places, and an amulet of hidden light is (IMO) fun.

Wouldn't a Synthesist Summoner with VMC Sorcerer be more fitting? For a half-elf you can cut it down to as little to 1 round of transforming if you want and you can still have the bonded item ;)

^I like the necklace of adaptation also. It goes well with the Unfettered Shirt I plan to get.

Thanks!
