... sorry most of you live too far away for me to actually offer you a glass of my family wine in Alsace.

But we thought that finally defeating AP0 was worth its own thread.
Bottom line : group of 6 (Alain, Enora, Kyra, Balazar, Crowe, Shardra Gelt). We made a point to absolutely not make the game easier than by the book (up to the point of using suggested start decks).

Summary :
Scenario 1 : 1 try = 1 success
Scenario 2 : 4 tries = 3 failures, 2 dead and then 1 success
Scenario 3 : 1 try = 1 success
Scenario 4 : 8 tries = 7 failures and then 1 success
Scenario 5 : 3 tries = 2 failures and then 1 success

Cool we can finally shuffle AP1 deck in the box just in time for Bastille Day :-)
And since all of you promised that it will be so easy now, we may even have time to play while following the Tour de France. :-)

Funny part for Chad: the reward for scenario 5 was some non-basic cards... and after 17 games we didn't have enough non-basic spells left in the box ... which means that by making so many tries unwillingly we did in fact farm the whole box without wanting it. ;-)

Anyway, just wanted to wish all of you some good vacations, to give you a real feed-back of live in a large group, and many thanks for the great game.

Well, the bumpy ride for you is hopefully over. It's the Tour De France's turn to have a bumpy ride over cobblestones.

You're going to coast through AD1 now, my solo party of Balazar, Enora, Aowyn, and Seelah got very lucky on 0.2 and we beat it first try (1 blessing left and everyone almost dead, I have no desire to ever play it again) but we found 0.5 incredibly difficult and got smacked around by it a bunch. Despite people thinking Enora was too weak, she's definitely my go to closer, especially once you get mythic roles, her shield has saved my bacon multiple times and her sheer dmg output is second to none, especially when I have her follow Aowyn around to scout locations for her. Who has been your groups villain killer?

Fencois, your family has a vineyard?

So I'm not the only that focused more on that than completing the adventure then?

He lives in Alsace. From what I understand, it should be more of a surprise if his family didn't have a vineyard, because that région is quite into grapes and wine.

Actually my late grandfather had some and my uncle and cousins are taking care of it now. My mother kept the family house in Kaysersberg where I spent many vacations, but my parents moved to Paris before I was born. So I'm not personaly in the wine world but I get some dibs rights on some great bottles from time to time.

Alsace has great white wines, but you need to love white wines...on the other end, there are way less expensive than the good Bourgogne or Bordeaux.
Enf of the mandatory French cluche afvertising... Promise next time I'm back in the cards business :-)

Congrats! Now the real fun begins!

Feel free to talk about wine any time! I live in the middle of Oregon wine country and usually have a bottle open when I'm playing, coincidentally, I also live in the middle of Oregon beer country, so on those occasions I don't have wine I have a bottle of beer.

I live in the middle of Arizona nothing-special-here country where the only unique thing is the first McDonald's drive thru. Don't talk about wine, give it to me.

Drinking is a deeply significant part of our Pathfinder sessions. Although I never see Oregon beer in the UK, which is a real shame

Honestly, wine is more for the long RPG evenings than for PACG... and one bottle is enough, nobody wants to drink too much.

Sovereign Court

Too much? Is that even a thing with good wine?

I had a similar experience Frencois, but amusingly the only B scenario we got through first try was #4. I believe each other scenario was at least 4 attempts
