The music you wrote has been part of my life since I have been a child. May your last journey lead you to places beautiful and inspiring.

What a loss. :(

The Glory Soundtrack remains one of the greatest soundtracks I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. If the Charging of Ft Wagner does not get your blood pumping then you should consult a doctor.

RIP James, gone but never forgotten.

It may sound cliché, but the Titanic soundtrack's sweeping pieces of the ship did more to impress the immensity and grandeur of the boat than Cameron's effects did.

RIP James - your music will be timeless.

This news makes me very sad. I must have watched "Star Trek II" 50 times growing up. Before we could afford a VCR we had a cassette version of the soundtrack, and would listen to the soundtrack over and over again while imagining the movie. Fast forward 20 years and my kids get into "Land Before Time." I hear some familiar trumpet motifs, and sure enough, the score was by James Horner. RIP Mr. Horner, and thanks for the musical memories.
