Liberty's Edge

Is there a download package for the Pregens and Chronicle sheet for this? Or will there be one prior to Saturday, anyway?

Thanks.

Silver Crusade 5/5

They should have one up on the product page for We Be Three before Saturday. I would check the product page later in the week, and I imagine Management will give us a heads-up when it's ready to go.

Scarab Sages 5/5

In the past, they have had the Society relevant files up on the Wednesday before. I would check back late Wednesday or early Thursday.

Scarab Sages 5/5

They were ahead of themselves this year. Thanks for getting this to us quickly.

I see the PFS chronicle sheet is up, but still do not see the pre-gen character sheets up. Am I missing them?

No .pdfs for play will be posted until July 1st. Free RPG Day scenarios go exclusively to stores first as hard copies for Free RPG Day, then are made available to the public at large online a couple weeks later.

We just added the pregenerated characters to the module's product page as a free download.

Silver Crusade

Awesome, and thank you. Makes it so much easier to run the module.

Thanks for proving me wrong :). Even if I won't get a chance to play/run it until after the 1st, I'll at least get to look at characters now.

How does one get an owlbear animal companion?

In Response:
There is a boon on a module's Chronicle sheet that allows one to get an owlbear companion. I won't say anything more except that a close reading of the We Be Goblins Free Chronicle sheet might give you further clues as to which module.

Very. very. Carefully.

Can we really even call it an Owlbear

Spoiler:
It is a regular bear companion with higher charisma and harder to handle. But I can see how you do not want real Owlbears running around

Very cool, but I think you're missing THE most iconic character for WBG...

(which is mentioned as on p.11 in Poog's stats)

Does it count as a bear for the purpose of the ancestral ally boon?

Hey guys - here's a cheat sheet for the pregens in this module, designed to be able to be printed on the back of the pregens for easy reference.

Thanks, James. I was going to do that (and was half-way there), but you beat be to it!!!

I'm putting together a critter cheat sheat now.

Maybe not, since Lucas already did the work!

And, of course, being me, I went ahead and did my own.

We Be Goblins FREE! -- uses Carlos Robledo's template (which I love), including mini counts.

Sometimes I annoy myself with my capacity of wasting time. Now, I still have to pull minis, assemble packs of pregen sheets, etc.

Is it acceptable to tell players that they will be better off if they're using characters who have played previous WBG modules?

It doesn't seem much different than telling them that a scenario has special content for a certain faction, or that they might benefit from playing the parts of a series with the same character in regular PFS.

Is the We Be Goblins trilogy hard-capped at four players? I have potentially 5 players who want to do a run through all three of them (probably not for a few weeks), which happens to be exactly the wrong number for both one and two tables, if this is the case.

Silver Crusade 5/5

No, standard table sizes apply. There will just have to be two of a goblin, it might be weird, but it'll work.

Yes. Its a bear with a fancy wrapper.

I've run these more than once with 5 characters. Since these are more about the goblin antics than challenging players, it has been ok.

On another note... there is one encounter in WBG3 that has an extremely high risk of being a TPK. In fact, if it weren't for rerolls, in the game that I played in, the harpy would have had all the goblins fascinated, and then they would have been easy targets (since there is no way out of it). Bear that in mind if you are running this, and find a way to give them a chance. One suggestion that was followed in our area was to allow a reroll if the player sang their goblin's song... loudly, in a goblinesque voice.

Silver Crusade 5/5

Like Jack said, the Harpy fight can be pretty hairy, depending on party will saves. I was ready to have the harpy fly over the water to drown the goblins when I ran it, in order to give the party another shot at a will save.

The finale was also pretty dicey for the party as well, mainly because of the damage the thing can put out if it gets going. I put my table's Mogmurch down in about 2ish rounds, mainly cause he tried to charge into melee with it. I didn't really do many full attacks with the thing, and when I did I tried to split it up. It has trample, which is always fun and gives Chuffy a chance to use his evasion. Reta alternated between firing off arrows and giving Chuffy a flank.
