[Unchained] Variant Multiclassing and Class Feature Qualifications

Rules Questions

So I'm making a Druid with the Barbarian Variant Multiclass (for the Rage and other melee goodies), and an unusual theory came up in a separate thread discussion: Could I take the Extra Rage Power feat?

Reviewing the text:

Rage Power wrote:
At 11th level, she gains a rage power. For the purpose of which rage powers she can select, her effective barbarian level is equal to 1/2 her character level, but for the purpose of the rage power's effect, her effective barbarian level is equal to her full character level.

Now, at 11th level, I get a Rage Power (with the listed limitations). With Variant Multiclassing, do I count as having the class feature when I acquire it for the purposes of qualifying for other subjects?

Granted, I am only level 2 currently, and the opportunity to do this option won't come until 11 levels later (13th), it's still something to consider later down the road if I decide I want to have more power while Wildshaping.

This question doesn't just come with the Rage Power itself; I do get Rage at 3rd level. I wonder if I would also qualify for Extra Rage for my 5th level feat, if those with Cleric variants qualify for Extra/Selective Channeling, etc.

I have a feeling this may become a FAQ, so I'm going to word my question for the purposes of becoming a FAQ:

If I gain a class' class feature through Variant Multiclassing, do I count as having that class feature for qualification purposes?

It seems so, since the barbarian VMC says nothing about restricting Extra Rage, but the Oracle VMC specifically states that you can't take Extra Revelation

In general if you have a Class feature (regardless of how you acquire it) then you have that class feature for all purposes. So yes, you qualify, there's no need for an FAQ.

Considering some VMC specify you can't take "Extra..." feats, anything that lacks that language should be able to take them.

For example the Witch VMC states you cannot take Extra Hex.

So if similar language isn't present for Barbarian Rage Power, it seems yes you could take Extra Rage Power
