Hello,
I'm considering running a Bloodrager with a 2h weapon... From 4th level it can start casting spells but to cast spells it requires a free hand...
Can I let go of the weapon, cast a spell, and grab the weapon within 1 turn?
If so, could you perhaps provide a link/say the page in a book where it says so?
My GM simply says: If you can find a rule that states something is possible you're allowed to do it... Else you're not... (which sometimes really is a pain in the ass and leads to lots of discussions.)
Cheers,
Sorrol

"Two-Handed Weapons: What kind of action is it to remove your hand from a two-handed weapon or re-grab it with both hands?
Both are free actions. For example, a wizard wielding a quarterstaff can let go of the weapon with one hand as a free action, cast a spell as a standard action, and grasp the weapon again with that hand as a free action; this means the wizard is still able to make attacks of opportunity with the weapon (which requires using two hands).
As with any free action, the GM may decide a reasonable limit to how many times per round you can release and re-grasp the weapon (one release and re-grasp per round is fair)."

Sidenote on Magus
Note though, that with Magus spellcasting the situation would be quite different. if interested take look here: http://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/12581/magus-swinging-two-handed
Summary (Spell Combat 'To use this ability, the magus must have one hand free (even if the spell being cast does not have somatic components), while wielding a light or one-handed melee weapon in the other hand.' -- thus you can't use it while holding a two handed weapon in your one hand, since it wouldn't even count as wielding a weapon at all.)
