Iron Gods, Skype, Saturday Mornings. Looking for 2 players.

Recruitment

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Hello all, I have decided that I will keep my mantle as GM for this game, and so I am looking for 2 players for our Game. Game will be every other week, starting June 20. 7-11 AM EST.

i will be following the AP pretty closely but will be open to some Ideas if you have them.

We use Map tools and Skype.

Current party is a Rogue, Ranger and a Cavalier. So looking for some classes with spell casting. feat selection will be limited to the big books. No Psionics, Unchained or 3PP.

Looking for a good mix of RP and combat, so if your answer to bribing the guard is " I'll roll my diplomacy" you are probably not gonna be what we are looking for.

Any questions feel free to to send them.

Decided to drop restriction on unchained. I'll keep an eye on it but nothing looks back breaking . Will keep an eye on characters to make sure no shenanigans .

Do you still need people? I was thinking a sorceror with the impossible bloodline might be fun. Any chance, we could meet slightly earlier (maybe by a half hour or hour)? I am still interested regardless, but if not, there may be some days where I have to leave a little early. Also I have vacation starting June 27th from which I'll be returning July 3rd, but that looks like it won't impact the every other week schedule.

If you are interested I could build my character this weekend :)

I am still taking applications . Probably not going to start earlier . As then we are talking about 6 or 6 30 in morning And several of the players have children. How often would you have to leave early ?

For general announcements I am taking applications till Saturday night. If anyone is interested I would like General character concepts ( don't need full character sheets) just race class alignment quirks and general bits about the character . Also a Skype name so I can talk to you and perhaps see how you role play.

That's fine, it shouldn't be very often (I just thought I'd ask) some days something may come up, but the time really is perfect for me and I'll do my best to plan other things around game times. And funny that you mention it, my wife and I are actually expecting our first child in September.

I'm going to play around with some ideas for my sorcerer, and post again soon. I will also drop my skype name at that time. I don't have experience with maptools (my experience has been on roll20 and in person), but I'm sure I'll be able to pick it up quickly.

Oops, Skyhearth is the same person as Milkmonster... Apologies for the confusion!

lol yeah I was a little confused. I look forward to reading it. :)

I have a half-orc bloodrager i've been working on that would be fun for this campaign. A nice mix of might and magic. My skype name is Zerigoking and my character is linked in my profile.

I am very interested in this. I have been wanting to play a Druid, but have a hard time finding a group to play with. The druid is very unsure about his calling and is trying to figure out if he made the wrong choice in life and the journey will involve a lot of soul searching and figuring out his path. He would be a human, alignment would be neutral, leaning more towards neutral good. His biggest quirk would be him always questioning if he/the group made the correct choice, but not in an annoying way.

Here is my character sheet (let me know if you have any issues accessing it): http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=241100
(I used a 15 point buy, obviously, if needed this is easily changed)

Description/Background:

Abandoned at a young age, raised on the streets of Torch, K'thun (no last name) found his place as an apprentice to a smith who smelt and crafted with skymetal ore. Despite being a quick study, his handiness wasn't learned in a book, instead K'thun repaired, tinkered, and created contraptions based solely on intuition, an unexplainable knack, or for a lack of a better term, instinct.

Constructs, machinery, other worlds and their mysteries have always captivated K'thun's mind. If charged with some menial task it's common to find the Sorcerer lost in thought, those thoughts most likely located out of this world.

K'thun's other work obligations (finished product deliveries, ore/mineral discovery) has caused him to become quite knowledgeable of Numeria, its features, and its inhabitants. In addition to speaking Hallit and Orc, inexplicably K'thun has also developed the ability to speak, read, write, and decipher Androffan.

While not a devout follower, K'thun has a general interest in the Clockwork Goddess, Brigh. While he doesn't hope to gain any divine power through this arrangement, as Brigh is the goddess of clockwork, invention, and time, K'thun believes that through her he may be able to come to a greater understanding of the technology present in Numeria.

K'thun stands just over six feet tall and is quite slender. Needless to say he avoids manual labor, unless of course he is working on one of his contraptions. His eyes and hair are gray despite his age, and when lost in thought or under great stress his pupils glow and start to resemble the spinning cogs of a clockwork construct.

Personality:

K'thun is aloof and relatively carefree. He's one to not sweat the small stuff. He feels that we are tiny specks in a wide universe and that our actions are mostly inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. He doesn't like to get caught up in the details, unless of course we are talking about his contraptions. K'thun enjoys building and repairing things, the more high-tech the better.

K'thun is generally sociable, easy to get along with, and he's always eager to learn something new. He is however not the best leader, choices for the most part are viewed as inconsequential and may annoy K'thun, if put in charge he may just quickly choose an option without fully thinking out the consequences. Despite this shortcoming, K'thun is slow to anger and well liked.
