Freedom of Movement and Wall of Stone

Rules Questions

I assume Freedom of Movement does not prevent a entrapping a character that has had FoM in a Wall of Stone? But it does prevent Chains of Light? No entanglement either? Does Icy Prison work?

The text: This spell enables you or a creature you touch to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes movement, such as paralysis, solid fog, slow, and web. All combat maneuver checks made to grapple the target automatically fail. The subject automatically succeeds on any combat maneuver checks and Escape Artist checks made to escape a grapple or a pin.

The spell also allows the subject to move and attack normally while underwater, even with slashing weapons such as axes and swords or with bludgeoning weapons such as flails, hammers, and maces, provided that the weapon is wielded in the hand rather than hurled. The freedom of movement spell does not, however, grant water breathing.

Thoughts?

I could see it being ruled either way.

Either A: Wall of Stone, Chains of Light and Icy Prison may all be avoided, because they impede movement and allow reflex saves to avoid, implying that the ability to move freely would allow you to avoid them;

Or B: Wall of Stone couldn't be avoided freely because it doesn't directly effect the target's movement, instead creating a physical barrier that only impedes your movement by its proximity. I make the distinction because otherwise, it could be argued that if the person with FoM were in a 5' x 5' room or closet, it would be impossible to magically block the doorway or even lock an existing door, as that would impede the player's movement.

Yeah, I think RAW Chains of Light doesn't work on someone with FoM because it is specifically designated as creating a paralyzed condition. Wall of Stone, in it's trap form, probably can trap someone with FoM; it's not a condition, it's just a stone wall. You can't just walk through stone. But then again...

What a terribly unclear spell. I think it's a good concept, but it sure could use a more specific rewrite.

Wall of Stone - not affected for the described usage (containment)
Chains of Light - blocked since everything is contingent on paralysis which FoM blocks
Icy Prison - blocked but the "line of effect" blockage may still be present (in target's favor); probably GM discretion
