Meh.
It was nice to see that dude who played Randy on Monk still getting some work.
I still think Olsen as Guardian is a lame idea.
It's going to be interesting to see how badly J'onn freaks when he finds out he got some White Martian blood.
I saw a commercial for the 4-part crossover event. They showed some alieans who looked nothing like Dominators.

Thomas Seitz |

Aber,
I think the Dominators might not LOOK the same but they're as close an approximation as we're going to get for TV right now.
Parasite was cool looking. I just wish they had kept him around for more than one episode. He was/is my favorite Superman villain.
As for how J'onn will react, I think the promo for the next episode might be an indicator.

While this Parasite was killed, they did mention it was from some other planet or other, so it sounds like a whole race of these exists, and other could come to Earth.
My biggest gripe with Olsen as Guardian is that the character has a history in the comics, with one in the 50s and one more modern. I was expecting some reference to "Yeah there was this awesome vigilante superhero back in the 50s named the Guardian, and he inspired me as a kid, so I want to honor the name and take the mantle, etc, etc."

![]() |

Are you f#+%ing kidding me....?
And could Supergirl have been anymore of a dumbass, giving those a!$#+$$s exactly what they wanted? Because we all know that having mad scientists with access to Kryptonian DNA has always worked out just great.
I liked Hank/Cyborg. Except they shouldn't have made him use the "Superman" part.
I thought the Guardian subplot was not only pointless, but insulting to out military veterans. It didn't surprise me, sadly.
The knock-down, drag-out between J'onn and the white Martian chick was pretty cool, but too short. I hope the whole transfusion thing doesn't have lasting ramifications, just so J'onn can help Supergirl keep her head out of her ass. But turning him into a white Martian is a completely douche thing to do.

Ramarren |

Luthor's mom as head of Cadmus popped up in a prior episode, so it was no surprise. Doesn't particularly bother me one way or the other.
My only real gripe was dumb Kara. "Nice cage you got here, Nth metal even (liked that). I wonder how well these gaps stop heat vision from melting all your guns? Not at all? So sad"
As for Hank being Cyborg Superman...it had to be. If they do it up right, Project Medusa should end up referring to the Eradicator.

Thomas Seitz |

I'm not surprised it was Lex's mom. It was either that or else Mercy Graves. However I think the hints were already there from the previous two episodes.
Hankborg is more appropriate I agree. There's nothing "Superman" about him.
I also agree with Ramerran that she might have been able to use her heat vision. But I'm not sure how much use that would have been. Freeze breath would have been better.
Also notice Daxamites do get severe lead poisoning.
Best part of the episode? Clearly seeing Alex resolve her issues with Maggie.

Nobody else laughing at the referance to the Vigilante her cousin used to work with. All costumes and gadgets.
I think that is the 2nd wink towards Batman we've had this season.
You think they are setting us up for a Batgirl team up.
A Batgirl team-up would be awesome, but I believe Fox has the current TV rights to the Batfamily tied up due to Gotham.

Gotham was name checked in the first episode of the season.
Now we just need Fox's Gotham to be canceled so the batman characters can show up on Supergirl. I'd love to see Nightwing pop up on the show as a reoccurring character.

Damon Griffin |

There's a way they could borrow from the Batman Family without importing a body from Gotham.
Assume Lena Luthor is in fact a Good Egg. She finds out about Lillian's activities with Cadmus, and becomes the Spoiler to oppose mom clandestinely.
Hey, everyone's getting a costume, right? I'm looking at you, Olsen.

Damon Griffin |

I'd still prefer Batgirl.
I almost certainly would, too. It might depend on which one. And if Barbara, at what age. I didn't read any of the New 52 stuff, but I was taken aback when she suddenly started looking 12 years old.
Also haven't checked out either of the Batgirl titles in Rebirth, so I don't know if more than one version of Batgirl is current (Clark Kent/Superman/Lois Lane/Wally West/Titans-Teen Titans...) I believe the title character for both books is adult Barbara, post-Killing Joke.
I might rather see Batgirl show up in Arrow, as the night is more her element, and as part of her backstory she could be made a beneficiary of Curtis's spine-healing technology.

Damon Griffin |

It struck me as very...tidy. In terms of loose ends, that is.
* J'onn's drama with White Martian blood, gone.
* Alex's drama with Maggie and her sexual orientation, gone.
* Lillian Luthor as head of Cadmus, [likely] gone.
* Nay-sayers' doubts about Lena Luthor's trustworthiness, firmly set aside.
The rest of Cadmus is still out there, Jeremiah hasn't been found, Olsen still needs to 'fess up to being Guardian, etc. And Kara and Mon-El really need to stop playing middle school games --
Do you "like" like me? Check one:
[ ] Yes
[ ] No
-- but it was good to get several things out of the way before running off to a parallel Earth.

I was just bummed that....
Otherwise, I hope that Cadmus crap is over for now. It was really starting to drag.
And thank the gods they quickly dispensed with that J'onn turnin into a white martian crap. That was idiotic.

Berinor |

If not, I agree with Aberzombie.

Thomas Seitz |

Berinor,
It might be considering the whole "Kill all the Dominators but spare the Humans!"
I'm not bummed by the 1+ minute of Cisco and Barry just showing up. Mostly because they DID need to resolve stuff. I'm unsure about whether or not this counts as the Fall Finale. But if it does, at least Alex got her wish. :)
I will agree with A-zombie that Mama Danvers, Super Genetic Doctor!, felt tacked on. While I wish they had carried on the trouble with J'onn , I am glad to see David Harewood get a good work out doing dual roles.
I just wish Hank would stop calling himself Cyborg Superman. He's not. He's maybe like Metallo 3.0 atm.

Set,
Comet wasn't a lover right? Just a horse right? Just asking cause comics are weird...
Feral,
Maybe not but it's something to consider as we get closer to the end of the crossover.
He tried to be actually. The more modern take was that he was a tauric creature stuck in horse form and definitely wanted her.

Set, Comet wasn't a lover right? Just a horse right?
He was a centaur before he was a horse and a mixup with a magic potion that was supposed to turn him fully human turned him instead fully horse (and he also gained super-powers, including immortality), and they'd have creepy panels where she'd be riding him and he'd be fantasizing about being her boyfriend.
Just asking cause comics are weird...
Indeed they are. :)
Sadly there was never a Legion of Super-Villain Pets, to square off against the Legion of Super-Pets.
Serbo, the Size-Changing Super-Squid!
Nevermore, the Raven of Doom!
Flitter, the Angry Goldfish!
Trashy Tawny, the Rhinestone Catgirl!
'Cause that might have been too silly for the totally serious Silver Age.

Thomas Seitz |

Set,
There was the Pet Avengers that fought Doctor Octopus' Octopus that one time. I thought.
As for the Legion of Super-pets, I'm not sure. I thought there was that animated Krypto TV show that had Ace the Bat-hound, Krypto and Streaky plus two others fighting off some Batman themed animals/villains.

And, more importantly, IMO, Kara's supporting cast (Alex, Winn, Hank!, etc.) might get some love. If Arrow, Flash, etc. consider Kara a big gun, imagine how they'll react to the Martian Manhunter, whose like 'Supergirl's powers, but can also shapeshift, read minds and walk through walls!'
