First post of another week.
Sits into comfy chair with a bottle of Scotch. Fiddles with remote
I wonder what the Goblin / Pugwampi comedy show is doing this week?

OK, I have a question: What is your opinion of Bulmahn's assertion that GOBLINS are Pathfinder's favorite troublemakers?!?!?

Bulmahn likes minotaurs, so clearly his judgement is not to be trusted at all.

We You should ask someone stabby smart with sharpened refined blades tastes, like Merisiel. Surely she'd agree that we wampis are clearly the favorite troublemakers over goblins. But be sure to bring her a flattering gift... like this Binky Bat souvenir hat from Drizztney World. {plops bat hat on MP's head}

Feeling a little melancholy from all the Grar in the Goblin P2E threads. So little respect for what the developers are trying to do, the work they put in, the opposing posters on BOTH sides... I love this place but sometimes I just get sick of it.

I know. Some places get so bad, that I just close the browser, and go off and do something else.

I'm glad that at least the Goblins! blog went up on a Monday instead of a Friday; I imagine it'd be even hotter and angrier then.

My biggest gripe with it is some people just have to keep angrily re-re-re-re-posting their same points. We got it the first couple times you said it, so save your energy and shut up already. Zealously trying and re-trying to talk the rest of us into submission just convinces people to either ignore you completely or to angrily poke back. Spawning off new CORE! GOBLINS! WILL DESTROY TEH GAME! threads to rehash your position just pushes other potentially useful and/or informative threads further down the page where they won't be seen or participated in.

I am tired about with the general play test threads is it makes me not want to deal with it...which means it is impossible for me to actually give intelligent feedback.

Is there a way to give intelligent and constructive feedback on the plates to without dealing with all the trolls?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm not too worried about feedback now. The playtest doesn't even start until the PDFs become available in August. The developers seem to be checking in on the reactions to the previews, but I imagine they'll be paying much closer attention once we have the actual docs in front of us and can see all the mechanics of the system. Hopefully then they'll shovel all the ranting and grar from the previews off into a subfolder so we can all start with a clean slate.

S*!~, some of us remember when "DWARF! WIZARDS!" were going to "DESTROY TEH GAME!"

Or when 4th Edition (which I hated) was going to kill D&D.

Or when half-orcs no longer being a core race (Hel-LO AD&D 2nd Edition!) was going to destroy the game.

Or when Elf and Dwarf getting character classes was going to overthrow all sanity and reason as we knew it.

Attention pearl-clutchers: We're all still here.

You are?

Sorry, everyone. I started remembering things, and shed a few tears. I know I said that I'd stop grieving. But saying it is one thing, doing it is something else. Guess I'm still a bit sad on the inside.

4 people marked this as a favorite.

You will never completely stop grieving. It will hurt less...you will try to find people or things to replace your lost...but nothing will ever completely replace it. And this is a good thing...atleast for me.

I still wake up on Sundays thinking about going to Mike's for game...or check my IM to see if he is around. It hurts when I realize he is gone...than I start to remembering a game he ran...or when I took him to see a his first live football game...or going to see a movie with him...and realize in a way as long I remember him he is not truly gone.

I spent the last three Saturdays clearing all of his RPG books. Talking to his Mom...hearing stories about him...or telling her storys about him...and just remembering him with friends or even strangers...helps.

Anyway...*hugs

Greeting Wonderful and Enlightened Mistress,

So in a game I am playing I get to play a succubus...it is really great fun (it is 3.5 D&D game so we are using the rules from Savage species)

Any advice on playing a succubus?

I've pretty much given up on it. I was trying to force myself to post on the Dead Suns PBP (which I was having fun with, and liked playing with the others), but I literally could not force myself to post ;_;

There was a lot of stuff that whittled me down about the setting until it was too much. I'm keeping the subscriptions for the Core and AP lines for the art and inspirations, but i doubt I'll ever play any of it.
