Bard Possibilities~

Advice

I am interested in building a Bard who does AoE damage with his/her Bardic Performance. Is there such a thing available out there?

Don't judge to harshly, but I remember back in the days of EverQuest running around with a bunch of enemies chasing me while I cursed at them until they died. I figured this would be a wonderful RP opportunity in Pathfinder if this (or something similar) was available.

Not exactly AOE, but the Sound Striker has damaging attacks with bardic performance that is similar to cursing at them (weird words is what the ability is called.)

The Thundercaller has a some AOE effects but definitely lighting themed, not flavored like cursing.

Thundercaller. What book is this located in? Ah, think I found it...in one of the Pathfinder Player Companions, Varisia.

Wouldn't a channeling cleric be a better match?

Silver Crusade

There are some spells available too. My bard uses Chord of Shards and Blistering Invective.

And of course sound burst. A classic aoe.

Scarab Sages

Thundercaller Sound Bursts all day long, every day. Plus, it scales with level as far as the auto-damage is concerned. It's the best.

Yes, though the archetype has nothing Bard to it, really. This is one of those few archetypes that changes nearly everything in the original class. There is no bard theme left. It's more of a tribal shaman. It is also not in a "Core" book. If it was, it would be significantly nerfed (and probably should be).

The Soundstriker could fit into your 'cursing' theme. The ranged touch attacks benefit from some of the combat feats, too. Unfortunately, you will need to search this site for the errata'd WeirdWords. It is not correct as worded in the link above.
