Crippling Blow Rage Power

Once per day when you get the power, you can give a minus 1 penalty to something seems pretty sad

If this was once per round, it would be usable, but once per day is straight in the trash

Err, it increases by 1 point for every 4 levels the barb has. So by the time the barb can even qualify for it it does 2 points of ability damage.

Not very well worded (and not very good either to be honest). Every attack would be insane though.

Actually, I think it should be 3 points, 1 for the base power and 2 for the 8 levels you have to qualify for the Power.

Except when you take the rage power at level 8, you're dealing 3 ability damage.

It's a tag-team ability to "FINISH HIM!!" after the rogue has slathered on bucketloads of their own stuff.

Or to follow up a particularly effective ray of enfeeblement from the arcane caster in the party.

Reckless stance seems like a worse accurate stance, I think competence bonuses to attack are pretty rare.

I guess I misinterpreted the power, but that like, barely changes how good it is. A -1 to some stats is nothing when you are going to hit them for all their life in a round.

If it was once per round it would be fine.

Bardic Performance is Competence. So this really depends on group.

Your title is kind of misleading ... it makes it sound like you are disappointed with the entire book when, in reality, you're just talking about a single feat.

Might want to change your title to be more accurate ...

That power stuck out like a sore thumb. I'm strongly suspecting something went wrong when it was written. Like maybe it was intended to be a once per round ability, instead of once per day. Dealing a little bit of Strength damage as an 8th level once-per-day ability doesn't make any sense when chilltouch is a 1st level spell that can do Strength damage with multiple attacks.
