Companion Figurine Feat + Tumor Familiar Questions

Rules Questions

How would this combination work?

To explain it let's use the Silver Raven as an example.

Tumor Familiar allows you to create said tumorous creature as a familiar that can attach to your body (gaining certain bennies), the Companion Figurine allows the Silver Raven to become a familiar.

What happens when you end the duration of the figurine? Does it turn back into a statue wherever it is? Can this be done while it is attached?

It seems pretty straightforward, just sending out some feelers to make sure.

No takers?

You seem to be under the impression that a silver raven//Figurine of wondrous power could somehow be used as a tumor familiar. That is not the case, as that is not what the description of the feat says or implies, nor what anything else says (discovery and item descriptions). The feat says you can use your figurine as a familiar, not that it somehow transforms your current familiar into the figurine version (how would that even make any sense?)

Companion Figurine reassigns whatever familiar you currently have to the figurine of wondrous power instead. The character would need to dismiss or kill their current familiar before their figurine could become a familiar for them (or rather as soon as the PC uses the figurine as a familiar, the other familiar will run away, go hostile, or whatever; it will no longer be under the players control nor be treated as a familiar)

Well said and good point! Thanks for the clarification. After rereading the Tumor Familiar discovery you're obviously right. TF just makes a familiar that is a tumor, doesn't turn your present familiar into it. Not sure my thought process back then when posted, but it's exceptionally obvious now.

Thanks again :)
