Spells are as slow as they are when querying as an idea was had that seemed clever and efficient for spell lists but has turned out to have quite the opposite impact. On the dev side I've already tweaked how the querying behaves and it is about 4 or 5 times faster (timed using the scientifically sound '1-mississippi, 2-mississippi' method originally developed by Einstein).
This change will move over with the new character sheets.
I'm really enjoying this character creator, it's fairly intuitive and does a great job of organizing everything, but I did find one typo that is causing a problem, the trait battlefield caster lists Andradd as a possible requirement but the deity is called Angradd and as such worshipers of Angradd can't take it...
Fixed :) Please don't tell Angradd that we misspelled his name. Dwarven gods are very sensitive to slights such as these and a perceived insult may cause an incorporeal hammer to come slamming out of the skies onto our server, and that would be bad.

Hello all!
Codes have been sent out to all who requested them - check your PMs! If I missed anyone, throw something at me and I will get one to you ASAP.
A pretty large update to the character sheets has been pushed up. This was done to sort out multiple issues, including trying to make it more consistent, more aesthetic, to prepare the format for level to 20, and to give users more control over how the PDFs are generated.
When you login, note that there are two little buttons above each character sheet - a little printer button and a little settings button. Each exposes/hides controls. You may generate PDFS of only the stat block of your character, or the additional information if you so need it.
In addition, if you try the little settings button, you will find you can cause the character portrait and background to be suppressed from the PDF. There are similar controls for class specials, feats, and inventory - these are there for saving paper and ink. You can set it to suppress specials/feats/inventory items on an individual basis, so that you only generate PDFs to print that have the information you need.
I tried to be thorough, however this was a pretty comprehensive update so it would not surprise me if there are bugs lurking in certain conditions - please do let me know if you hit any. Any and all feedback very welcome!

its possible im missing something (just started), but i took extra hex as my racial feat from human, and as my first feat, but can only select 2 hexes, ill see if its me that messed up, but thats something i noticed
Should be all better. The 'count feat' routine wasn't really taking racial trait feats into account. Feats gained from racial traits were done 'incorrectly' and need to be redone.
PFSDB was an early experiment and hasn't been touched much over the last year, but I can see about removing/adjusting those 'read more' clickies at some point.
What do you all think of the new character sheet, as well as the PDFs?

When I click on the gods on page
http://tabletopgiant.com/Glord/characters/usagi-mano#domains
I get a whoopsie.
When searching for subdomains on the deity page, searching for "friendship" doesn't list the deity with the friendship subdomain.
I miss the "Familiar Bond" feat (guess Familiar Folio is not yet entered).

I'm wondering if that was a server hiccup (as Michael Hallet also encountered above); it looks like your character at that link is okay. I do see you were able to choose a god and the Friendship domain, and I didn't encounter any errors.
It is true that you cannot (as of yet) search by domain for deities; but this is something I can see about adding.
And yes - Familiar Folio has barely been touched. We'll be starting to add all missing content soon, starting with the new classes from Occult Adventures. There is a pretty good amount of material over the last year that is missing from the site, and we'll need to do a full audit to get it all available.

Domains and Deities are currently linked like this:
http://tabletopgiant.com/domains/archon-good
http://tabletopgiant.com/gods/lythertida
which results in an error when trying to access the page.
When changing traits that change skills, and you visit the class sheet directly, the skills shown are not correct. You have to visit the right tab of the "skills" page in order to see the correct stats on your character sheet.
I love the new look of the online char sheet!
Great work! :D

Ahhh - the show routines. This is true - much of the individual 'show items' pages have often been put off/ignored/punted. I just enabled them and those links should now work. Though I wouldn't mind cleaning up how the page looks.

Fixed it - the problem was that the cache for the skills pane wasn't really clearing (perhaps not even at all!). The pane will now clear its cache on any character update.

Yay! Positive feedback! Thank you so much. There's still work to do but it was a sincere effort to get it more 'usable'.

I am loving this character creator! (Which might be why I have over a dozen new characters...) but I have noticed a few problems.
First, I created an elven character and wanted to give him martial weapon proficiency in the Elven curved blade (treated as a martial weapon being an elf...)for a rapier and neither were available in the feat's table...
Second, I can't seem to access one of my characters (Jasmine the Bloodied, every time I do I get an "oops something went wrong message.
Also if I could make a couple of suggestions, first a Core character can't buy any ammunition as every piece has an ultimate equipment or other source listing, maybe adding other legal sources for the same information might help? Also I tried for the fun of it to make a Core character and had a fun time wading through all of the options to find legal items, could there possibly be an option down the road to declare a character core only and limit the selections that appear?
I'm still really enjoying this and will work to have a full alphabet of characters. (a-k, m, s, and v already done)

You found a wonderful little nest of bugs there that kept me busy through three cups of morning coffee! Actually the third cup might have been afternoon coffee.
Jasmine the Bloodied has been freed from the terrible shackles of "Uh oh, there's a problem.". The issue involved the Adopted Trait taking another trait that has an additional selection (in this case, the Aspiring Bard trait). This was cleared up and testing seems to show it is working now, but please do confirm.
I also found that the list of weapons within the martial weapon proficiency feat was not taking into account racial adjustments to proficiencies - this was modified and now elven curved blades show up on the list for elves (and similar items for other races).
Additionally, I found that the proficiency validation was not properly handling items that had adjusted proficiencies from race; such as elves treating exotic weapons with the word 'Elven' in them as martial. Since the base item type was 'exotic', the routine wasn't even giving your martial weapon proficiency feat a chance - that is now fixed.
Also, all other races with similar racial trait proficiencies were also fixed.
Note that the rapier will not show up on the possible choices for the martial weapon feat as elves are automatically proficient with rapiers - no need to 'unlock' them with an extra martial weapon feat.
Sources - there was a naive assumption made during the initial setup of this project that has cascaded, and that assumption was that each 'item' within Pathfinder would have a single source. One thing, one source. Crazy, right? Obviously that is wrong; a given feat, trait, spell, etc can appear in more than one source. I plan for this to be fixed in this data gap effort that we are just beginning. Nethys is going to help us, and that database took into account multiple sources; we should be able to flag those items with multiple sources and make adjustments accordingly. That way, it will be more clear when an item is part of 'core' and therefore core-legal.
As far as declaring a character to be core, so that only core material shows up - this is what is planned:
We will add simple 'user profiles'. A 'Sources Owned' tab will be part of that profile, and within it a user may flag those items that they own.
As part of character creation, a player can configure that character to the following options:
- Default: this mode uses the sources owned that were declared in the user profile.
- Core: this mode uses only core based material
- Custom: a user may toggle items as they see fit, using a variety of sources, on the 'owned' list or not
- Everything: everything! wheeeeee!
I would like the above to be completed as part of the push-to-20 upgrade, though I'm not settled where in that effort it will occur (user enthusiasm for such a feature could certainly influence).
I am loving this character creator!
I can't express enough how happy reading such things makes me. It validates the entire effort! Thank you so much, and I hope you do continue to enjoy the creator for many years to come - it will only get better.

slight issue with the zen archer monk, it is giving me both stunning fist and perfect strike, but I should only have perfect strike, I submitted a ticket, but figured I should also post here.
Should be good now - nuked the stunning fist for Zen Archers and retro'd the change as well, so existing Zen Archers should no longer have the feat. Though - it might still show in your character sheet if it is cached (and they almost always cache). If you still see the feat, change some tiny thing on your character - even just go to the 'basics' tab and submit with *no* changes - and it will clear the character sheet cache and recreate.
For those who request codes - they are on the way, perhaps next weekend. Occult Adventures classes are in work and great progress has been made, but each of those classes are rather complex and new in some ways, and so it does take a bit of time. Once they are complete and released, another round of codes will be sent out to all who requested.
Thanks!

Was the option to download a single file containing all the information compiled together removed? I only see a way to print the sections individually. This is unfortunate and consumes more paper, making me not want to use it.
Temporarily. It was an experiment. The change was not popular and was generally in line with your take. After the OA classes are settled (which will happen soon), this will be reworked so as to concatenate the sections toggled instead of generating them individually.

If a barbarian takes the "berserler of the society" trait, teh etxra three rounds of rage are not displayed on the main character sheet.
Extra Rage isn't getting included either.
Fixed both on dev; they'll migrate over with the OA classes (soon - 1 week likely, 2 weeks max).
Thanks!

I seem to be unable to choose the 'Berserker of the Society' trait with my Unchained Barbarian. Is that trait not compatible with the unchained version?
I believe it is compatible! I updated the code - you should now be able to make the selection. I also fixed the same issue with Rogues and Monks for their respective traits. It was an easy fix so it is immediately live.
I do know I owe some codes to all who have asked, and I am hoping to get a large site update out soon. Codes will go out when that is live.
Thanks!
Edit: Please keep in mind as stated a couple posts ago that Berserker of the Society isn't being totaled into the rage shown on the character sheet - that will be fixed with the update that is coming soon.

An update has been made live.
The six Occult Adventures classes are now available; this includes all PFS legal archetypes for those classes.
Example - here's an Occultist (Battle Host) I threw together: Marcus De Brún
In addition, the character sheet has been revisited. The sheet no longer generates in separate sections - it is now a single PDF. There are controls available to suppress sections and elements from the PDF, so you can filter things out that you don't need in order to make a shorter character sheet. In addition, there was another pass made at the overall styling of the sheet to make it more efficient in use of ink and to make it look better a bit overall.
Likely lots of bugs were created with this update. :) Go break things!
Thank you all. By the way - the current plan is to make this site live for *everyone* in December.

I had my wife try it out earlier for a character she's trying to finalize and this is her feedback so far.
that character builder doesn't seem to handle dual-cursed very well - talking about the Oracle archetype
it's not giving me the revelation options
and unfortunately the spell search does not search the saving throw - she's very thorough with spell selection in that she doesn't like relying on too many spells that all target the same saving throw (so like don't rely on grease, create pit, and fireball all at once, for instance)
I know it's not very descriptive, but that's what I got via text. She said she'll write it up in more detail if she can find some time.

I'm happy to try to make it better for her; more details would always help.
I definitely would like to hear what didn't work for her with the dual-cursed oracles. With a standard oracle, there is a "Curse" tab in which you choose your Oracle's curse. It only allows you to choose a single curse; however, if you are a dual-cursed oracle - the application will allow you to choose two (i.e., choose one curse, the page will refresh, then choose a second curse). This seemed like the simplest way of implementing dual-cursed oracles. I'm very open to suggestions.
Revelation options are hidden until the user selects a mystery. This is because the revelation options are based upon mystery selection and so are not known until that choice is made. Ask her to choose a mystery and see if the revelations appear (they will - if they do not, then that's a bug that needs to be researched).
That's interesting about the saving throws and that's a point; I can see about adding a query toggle to filter on saving throws.
Thank her for the feedback for me! It is appreciated.

I'm the wife that was mentioned. I wanted to clarify, my comments about dual-cursed and revelations were related. I was able to choose two curses, just like you mentioned. And I was able to choose my first revelation after choosing my mystery. I chose "Extra Revelation" as my feat, and the revelations tab did show that I could choose another. But none of the revelation options provided by dual-cursed (specifically, Misfortune) were available, only those provided by my mystery.
And for the spell search, I would love to be able to filter on saves as well as other criteria, such as spell school or range.

Ahh! That explains it perfectly.
I'm off to visit family for the day momentarily, but I believe I can have the 'extra revelations' fixed for dual cursed oracles by the late evening, if not tomorrow. I'll update when it is done.
Edit: I now see that it's not really 'Extra Revelations' but that Misfortune (and I believe one other) revelation is simply missing. It won't be hard to get them added. I'll get this fixed.

This issue should now be resolved. If it gives you any more trouble - or if you spot any other issues - please do let me know. Happy to get things fixed.
Thanks!
Edit: Regarding spell filtering; I think this is a great idea and quite reasonable. It will take a bit of time to get to, however; but the suggestion won't be forgotten.

I know you said pfsdb was an experiment and you haven't really been doing anything with it.. Bu I just noticed a small thing there. When searching for traits, if you link to a specific trait, in the link, the Faction and Deity tags won't show up for the linked trait like they would if you were viewing the trait in the filtered search.
