Flagging is honestly the most useful because it appears in a queue for us. No need to post with links :)

Any luck figuring out (from IP, etc.) where these spammers really are?

Does the number of flagging posters determine where it appears in your queue?

A question, since I've been flagging, but I'm not sure which flag is most useful. Which flag is most useful to you guys for this kind of thing?

I flagged three more.

Let's not respond to the threads with the spmm, just flag them. I just list it as copyright violation.

Alright, I'm flagging today. Becuase reasons.

ties flags on the end of stakes, to be implaed into offending posts.

And not just becuase I like to envision that I'm acutally hurting soemthing when I flag them! That's... Not it at all...

Personally offensive.

Maybe that's just me...

I'm not going to go into how our queue works, but even one flag for spam is helpful. We go through this queue regularly enough that any flag type/quantity will make it obvious to us that we need to squish the spammers.

I flagged some this morning EST.

Looks like they're not just limiting to creating new posts but posting in existing - just flagged quite a few.

Whoever did it made a rather interesting mistake - they had their email address and phone number listed.

They're back, and making new threads again.

Looks like the start of another attack.

They really should add a "This is spam" flag with an automatic deletion if it gets 10 of them or something.

I am fully aware of how many of my own posts might get deleted by that method. I don't think I have anything THAT important to add...

And again.

I've been flagging stuff all morning. Not the usual overload, more of a stealth testing of the waters.

I know its not policy to edit the posts but...

instead of merely deleting them, change them to "my website is a scam. It will shrink your manhood and give you a terrible rash" in whatever language it is he's posting in. As it is the spamming is a zero sum game: he can't lose anything by spamming. If it actually came with a price, no matter how small...

The spam is now making its way down to the PFS forums.

Just be alert and keep flagging.

Where is Buffy Summers when you need her to put those stakes to good use?

To the moderators - should I be tagging the weird spam posts with a specific flag? Or will any one work?

Breaks other guidelines is what they have asked for in the past.

Liberty's Edge

I use the violates copyright or other infringement as spam posts are generally business related.

Wow. Is there a prize for longest (spam) post title ever?

Flagged regardless.

I just did my first spam-flagging and this definitely confused me - is there a reason not to add a "spam" flag as a top level option? It's good enough for google...

Warning: KC's recommendations should be taken with a grain of completely ignoring them.

The spammers are getting trickier. Quick, ban them before you can read the post in full!
