[Dreamscarred Press announces] Psionics Unleashed Revised!

When we started on the path we find ourselves on, we were a small 3PP with an artbudget slightly smaller than 0$. Since then, we've gone on to release more books and Ultimate Psionics, which is a milestone for us. Yet, as a starting book, at 80$ in print, it's a hefty investment.

Because of this, we're releasing Psionics Unleashed Revised, which brings the premier core psionics rulebook a new, improved look, we add all the important errata, make sure 0-level powers are consistent and also add in the two new races from Ultimate Psionics to round it out.

Check out the cover at our website and tell us what are the most important errata to include in the Core Psionics Book? Maybe we missed something!

Psionics Unleashed Revised will be available in PDF, softcover, hardcover and in both black/white and full glorious color. And at a pricepoint that is easier to justify ;)

*Long whistle* DAAAAAAMN that's good! Me likey!

Are you going to be making a compiled errata document for those who already purchased Ultimate Psionics?

I don't have a problem buying the PDF with the changes all integrated into it for one stop shopping when it comes to rules questions, but having a sheet or two of errata to toss in with book would be nice too.

I was in the Kickstarter, but only at the PDF level. My GM has a hardback copy and I've been kicking myself over not going hardback before. This, though, I think I'll have to go full-color hardback for.

Yes, that's on my list of things to do.

Wooooooooow :D

An awesome idea, for example, is to link all suggested errata into this thread when you come across them, or questions that need clarification.

We think we got most of them, but like this, we can make sure it's as close to perfect as you want it to be! :)

Way cool! It will be nice having all that info compiled in one smaller book.

And hot damn! That is one nice looking cover. Is that the same artist that does Akashic Mysteries stuff? It looks really familiar.

Liberty's Edge

Mind if I asked who did the art for the cover? :)

Back during the kickstarter I pledged for lifetime access to the pdf library but I no longer have access to this on the new website and the old website is gone. what can I do.

Go to the new website and check the new posts, they mention what to do there.

Sure!

The cover art is by Joe Shawcross.

Ladydragona, we're working on fixing the lifetime access. Anything you're missing, just let me know via the instructions on the new site.

Nice project!

Will this contain material that is not in Ultimate Psionics?

Unless you count the errata and some tweeked 0 levels, it doesn't sound like it.

It sounds more like a second printing of Psionics Unleashed with the errata, and races from UltPsi to update it to the current material.

OK, thanks, good to know.

Yeah, this book isn't for those of you who own Ultimate Psionics, unless you want to support us ;).

That said, it's a perfect gift for GMs to look through, an intro book to psionics for new players or people who are interested in Psionics and don't want to go spend 80$ straight up for Ultimate Psionics.

For expanded psionic materials, we've got Seventh Path in layout as we speak and more being developed.

Is anything from 7th path in ultimate psionics or am I getting all new stuffs?

Publisher, Dreamscarred Press

The Seventh Path is entirely new material.

Something like a reach power metapsionic feat in seventh path?
Any infos on that book anywhere? :D

This is a good idea to give people an easier introduction to psionics than the full Ultimate Psionics, although I love my Ultimate Psionics hardcover!!!

All the playtest documents can be found in the Seventh Path thread.

:)

Excellent, I look forward to its release!

Not to drive you crazy, BUT what ever happened about doing that small 3PP psionics book that 3PP publisher could use in their book?

# of hours available / # of projects to get done = some projects get put on the back burner for a while.

If a project is announced and then sits a whole month in the back burner, maybe it is time to add personnel at Dreamscarred Press or cut back on the announcements until they have been been allocated with a reasonable amount of man hours.

Publisher, Dreamscarred Press

That would be fantastic if we had any actual full-time employees.

Everybody at Dreamscarred Press (including me and Andreas) have full-time jobs outside of publishing. We simply don't do enough to have dedicated employees, so day jobs always have to come first.

Publisher, Dreamscarred Press

Additionally, the project Louis mentioned is one that's only been discussed internally between us and him and has never been "announced" as a formal release.

I don't think you realize how thin the margins for error are for 3PPs and how amazing it is that they publish anything at all.

I would liken successful 3PPs to Tony Stark making a robot from a pile of scraps in a cave. Whenever a 3PP is funded through a kickstarter we may as well have a chorus of angels singing to their accomplishment!

@Louis
Congratz on the Neoexodus KS by the way, you earned it!

I would love to read more about this one even if it never materializes. And if you do find the time for it I would likely order it when it came out. I seem to be on a Dreamscarred Press buying kick lately - Psionics Unleashed, Ultimate Psionics, Path of War - and I am already eyeing some other things.

I can only agree. Good thing this wasn't announced at all and that we have heroic authors, editors, artists, layouters and FANS who help us make these books as good as they are! :)

The number of people who pour their hearts into the books is amazing, and that we manage to keep up this number of releases of this SIZE, is a miracle if there was ever one.

If you would like to join the heroes above, feel free to tell us! :D
