Extra Ninja Tricks?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

In the Advanced Player's Guide There is a feat: "Extra Rouge Talent" There are other iterations of this feat in the Advanced Class Guide for the Slayer, and Investigator classes. My concern comes with the Ninja Class: There is neither an iteration of the "Extra Rouge Talent" Feat, Nor a clarification allowing the ninja to simply take the "Extra Rouge Talent" Feat for extra ninja tricks. At least none that I've found. i could use some direction, or clarification.

Correct, there is no such feat. It's a common houserule, so talk to your GM about it.

If you're doing PFS, you're out of luck. =(

Thank you. i would hope they will do an update in the next printing of the UC book to remedy that(among other things).

[ROGUE, not ROUGE]

note that as ninja, you can pick a rogue talent once.
when done, nothing prevents you to pick extra rogue talent, but your choices will be limited to rogue talents.

one of the rogue talent is ninja trick... (but can be done only once)

Actually, that rogue talent has a proviso allowing the talent be taken multiple times.

Taking Ninja trick rogue talent to take rogue talent ninja trick breaks recursion, but does give you the rogue talent class feature.

Having access to rogue talents through the ninja trick class feature doesn't mean you have the rogue talent class feature. Hopefully they will allow ninja's to take extra rogue talent in the upcoming faq/ACG update. It's perfectly reasonable and many GM's allow this in their home games. But it's not RAW.

Its not the only possible interpretation but its not not raw either.

A ninja has a rogue talent. There is no raw distinction between rogue talent gained from your class feature and rogue talent class feature.

The feat requires you to have the rogue talent class feature. Under the ninja Class Features section: All of the following are class features of the ninja. Class features then have a headline, such as Ninja Trick, followed by what bonuses / features they entail.

I agree ninja's should definitely be able to take the feat, but since none of its class feature's are headlined Rogue Trick, a ninja does not qualify for this feat. That's why you cannot use it in PFS.

Its table variation. If you're quibbling around what header something is under people are going to read it differently. Ask around if you're worried for pfs.
