Good mother of derails are we still talking about Sex?

Can we go back to passive aggressively sniping at one another by stating pet peeves we encounter in the other threads that annoy us?

When people are enjoying a derail and someone with a goblin avatar posts demanding that we return to passive-aggressively sniping each other, it really Grinds my Gears!

You wanna take this outside mate?

Admittedly I have not seen this on in a hwile:

Poster 1 completely misreads a rule.

Poster 2 responds along the lines of "That is not even remotely possible".

Poster 1 "My idea is just as valid because all ideas are equally valid"
-----------------------------------------------------
No no no. All people can equally express their idea, and you have the right to your opinion, but if your idea is 100% categorically wrong, then it is not valid.

Just to be clear they were using valid as in "might possibly be correct", on a factual issue, not some corner case not covered in the book.

People who don't recognize my authority over RAW (rules as wanted [by me]) really grind my gears.

What pisses me off,
when people get mad when i bust out a slab of uncooked meat when they're talking about wanting to know "What does RAW say?" how are they going to know unless they ask the g%*#+$n f&+!ing Steak!

BAM!

WoD Ruining Sexy Fun Times in TTRPGs is a meme that grinds my gears, no matter how true to my gaming experience it is.

No, seriously - yaoi fan girls of a most Anne Rice-ly nature who put extra focus on their ambling prettycorpses, emphasize the subtext of Werewolf dominance struggles, and only go off-theme to play their Mages like a sapphic take on the Charmed sisters who want meat only when it's cold and attached to a bloodsucking...

Sorry, pet peeve. I know there's 'That Guy' anecdotes in abundance, but never see his mallgoth distaff counterpart discussed.

And no doubt the government will come up with a way to regulate-and-tax it too. :)

Technically property of China, and I'm pretty sure China likes bureaucracy as well as legislation in regards to morality. But then, I'm not an expert on China, so I could be wrong.

The US declared independence in 1776, but it was a long while and a lot of dead Brits until that declaration was legit. The confederacy declared independence, too, but they sure as heck aren't a nation, no matter how many rednecks want to display their racism local pride. (Sorry, but if it were genuine local pride rather than racism, they'd fly a state flag rather than a symbol of a rebellion founded on states rights...mostly the right to treat human beings as animals...but I digress.)

Words, declarations, paper, agreements...these things don't make independence. Literal independence makes independence, and as long as they're under "occupation" they're part of that country. I'm not saying it's ethical, I'm just saying we haven't heard of Tibetan freedom fighters repelling the Chinese aggressors.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Mostly because when China annected Tibet, the West was cheering for them to do it. Tibet was a VERY old-school monarchy, with an extremely impoverished population... frankly, everyone figured SOMEONE should do something about them already.

That China is less popular today, and that people have forgotten what Tibet used to be like and what the West felt about it then, that's neither here nor there.

If your government is "in exile", then I've got news for you: It's not an actual government. Some people may WISH that Tibet was it's own independent country again, but those wishes, and even the "legal status" don't change the fact that Tibet is as much a part of China as Ohio is a part of the United States.

I still posit that rogues are excellent characters, and that if you do not like them, you do not play the game properly.

What saving throw is required to resist Delayed Blast Threadlock? Because clearly, this thread optimized heavily on that save.

Edit- Evidently, it's a dirty rollplayer

My caster's relevant attribute score is pretty abyssmal.

Also, you know, it's cold out, and I rolled a lot of 1s.

Time to empower myself - verbal components:

How about this one? Abortion is murder! Studies have shown that a heartbeat and brainwaves are present in fetuses in as few as four weeks, presenting existence of life. Given that hardcore leftists are adamant about viscerally punishing anyone who so much as kicks a puppy in regard to animal cruelty, there's a logical disconnect between their so-called compassion for all life and ignorance of life presented, so long as said life relies on the inconvenience of an irresponsible host!

Admit it, even KNOWING that's baiting you, you're rolling hard on a will save to not counter that one. It's cool.

It's a compulsion effect, and the thread's a Half-Elf Oracle with Divine Protection and Irrepressible.

Any mention of ducks are because of my newly acquired "smartphone" and it's stupid autocorrect feature

I have no problem with graphically detailed sexual acts in my RPGs, so long as they are equally available. Unfortunately for me, in the only WoD group in my area, the only accepted option was the gay one. To each their own, and it's great for those into it, and they are welcome to enjoy - but seriously, if you are going to have adult situations only available in one flavor, well, I have long understood why my alphabet soup coalition people have complained about the lack of options in the games they like in regards to intimacy, and expect no backing or sympathy.

I just got reminded of another meme. People who go on rants about things, as if they were common board truths, when the rant is very inaccurate.

Examples: The policy of healing should not happen in combat... is taken as "Don't heal in combat ever".

Example: You should take power attack was changed to "You must always take power attack even if you are using TWF with a rogue".

Oh man, that thread. The worst part is, even as you're complaining about his arguments being flanderized, there are people in that thread saying the same rules are exactly true. Clowns to the left of you, jokers to the right.

Yeah I saw some of those, and I am sure he will see those and miss the others that don't agree, thinking "See MOST of you do exactly like I said".
