Given the new information on WOT and its effects on crafting settlements, and the players who are currently active in the game, which crafting settlements have a reasonable chance of holding 3 towers (rank 10) and providing that level of training to the player base?

Alderwag
Arkhaven
Blackfeather Keep
Callambea
Canis Castrum
Guardheim
Hammerfall
Keeper's Pass
Kreuz Bernstein
New Daggermark
Talonguard

I believe Alderwag and Talonguard will have no problem holding 3 towers. Guardheim currently has 0 towers, so it is not going to get to 3 in the near future.

The compromise in the WoT change means that the smaller crafting settlements are worth fighting for, at least until rank 11 crafting comes in. Then a decision has to be made.

Keeper's Pass/Callambea/Cannis Castrum/Talonguard are all safe. I'd expect a rally around Alderwag from the northerners. Kruez Bernstein and Hammerfall will have opportunities to make it as they are part of large blocs. The rest don't seem to have bright futures.

I can confirm Canis Castrum holds at least 3 towers. If you're in the plains, you can get your rank 10 crafting with us.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Don't forget that combat role template towns also have crafting facilities. Between any two towns that cover all 4 combat roles you'll also have training for every (with a few tiny exceptions) craft skill.

The real value of crafting towns is their superior queue speed and their auction houses, not any unique training capabilities.

After the change Hammerfall is going to drop to 0 towers, getting three will all depend on those around us and what sort of deal we can make.

Hey Swiss, did you seem my PM on some EBA discussions? The Keepers will certainly support Hammerfall as best we can as our ally.

I make this recent thread, then Thod goes and makes a new thread about how crafting settlements are abandoned, in chaos and overrun with doom, misery and despair... (or something like that). :)

I am a bit confused, its EE4 scheduled for Thursday 2/19/15 after daily downtime?

We are going to delay the release of Early Enrollment v4.0 by one day from Thursday to Friday this week to allow some extra time for debugging.
