There's something I need to get straight about the eldritch scion.

Advice

Ok, the ability "eldritch pool", is basically identical to Arcane Pool, and it replaces it. BUT in the description of the skill it says any ability that modifies Arcane Pool modifies Eldritch Pool. So can I be a green sting slayer that has an ability that modifies arcane pool. So wouldn't that mean I can be both archetypes at the same time? Because if I could this would be my dream class.

Both archetypes modify the Arcane Pool class feature, so they can't be stacked.

This is something I've seen a lot of recently. Counting as something doesn't work for archetypes. Once you have your character then it counts as the base ability.

but then what is the purpose of telling me abilities that modify arcane pool modify this ability? What is that trying to tell me cuz I'm finding the wording to be unclear.

I think the wording that Eldritch pool counts as Arcane Pool is there for feats, favored class bonuses, etc that call out specifically to modify the Arcane Pool will still work for the Eldritch Pool.

It allows you to take a feat such as Extra Arcane Pool or purchase the item Ring of Arcane Mastery and have them apply to your Eldritch Pool, which they otherwise by RAW would not. It is a separate statement from the rules about a character having multiple archetypes, i.e. a character can only have multiple archetypes if they don't modify/trade the same class features. Thus, a Staff Magus Eldritch Scion is legal, but a Greensting Slayer Eldritch Scion is not, since both archetypes modify the Arcane Pool.

Well good to know guys thx! To bad though, I just wanted to a green sting slayer that could cast spontaneously. Preparing spells is like an anxiety attack followed by regret.
