hi all :)

i have to create level 9 pg shaman\ (wizard or arcanist)\ theurge
exist any way to use charisma instead int? infortunaly i have only int 10 -,-

I'd suggest an empyreal bloodline sorcerer, so that you're using wisdom for casting. Or a normal sorcerer, if your fine with charisma-based casting as indicated.

I don't believe there's a charisma-based variant of wizard or arcanist. Though there actually is one now for magus, so maybe that's changed?

Otherwise, my answer would be don't be a mystic theurge.

If your GM is requiring that you roll a mystic theurge with a 10 in one of its casting stats, you may want a different GM.


You could try Oracle and Sorcerer, if you really want charisma. Shamans are wisdom based, so they might be problematic.

oracle 1/sorc 2/MT
oracle use the wood mystery and grab the bend the grain revelation

full Cha based casting and the least painful entry you're gonna get
starting at level 9 you'll have access to 3rd level arcane spells and 2nd level divine spells, with 3rd level divine spells coming at character level 10.

Anohter option is Assimar, not the standard one but several of the other heritages in blood of angels give a level 2 arcane SLA.

Also Oracle 1/Sorceror 2/MT 5 gives you 3rd level arcane and divine at 8th level not 10th.


if your DM allows third party there is a feat spell finesse that allows you to key all of your spellcasting to one chosen stat

She's mainly focused on save or sucks with a little buffing and healing for those times we are up against stuff immune to mind affecting spells. Not sure how optimized she is but her saves are off the charts, I can easily pump her AC over 30 and her DC's are fairly nasty. That said, I've prolly missed a bunch of ways to make her better which the nice people here will now point out for us both :)

Fey for the +2 to compulsion DC's. As far as third party goes, I'm pretty sure the only thing that isn't Paizo material is her curse--maybe a couple of her spells too. You could go with Blackened instead to get a few blasting spells to add to your repertoire. Wrecker is also a good option for a caster Oracle and Legalistic is practically not even a curse depending on how strict your DM is.

Ah, I did screw up a bit. Ora 1/Sor 2/MT 6 gives access to 4th level arcane and 3rd level divine. They'd get access to 4th level divine at character level 10, when they count as an 8th level oracle.


pippo, if you're still working on a Mystic Theurge, you should know that I have no idea why I took a 5th level of Sorceror on my MT. The character is much better off with only 4 levels of Sorceror--the minimum required to get 2nd level arcane spells in this particular case.
