longsword and whip user?

Advice

so I had an odd idea for a build but not sure what feats would be necessary. The build revolves around using a whip for tripping and disarming and swinging with a sword while on the ground.

I think I want to eventually get Gamin for him.

I was thinking fighter, but maybe bard for the exotic weapon proficiency(whip)?

I know I will need two-weapon fighting, combat expertise, improved trip, improved disarm, greater trip, greater disarm, combat reflexes ( so I can trip with whip as an AoO.

Not sure yet if I will do this as core or as classic PFS.

The Mysterious Avenger Swashbuckler has something like this fighting style as it's inspired by Zorro.

I think fighter would work better for this than bard -- the fighter has the feats to take all the stuff you're going to need, and the higher BAB to make things work.

Scarab Sages

If you want to trip with the whip on AoOs, you will need the whip master feats to threaten with it as well.

Lore Warden Fighter is great for builds that utilize maneuvers with weapons. Get Improved Whip Mastery to threaten at reach with your whip, but don't bother with greater whip mastery, unless you really want to grapple with your whip too. Be A Half Elf to get the exotic weapon proficiency.

1R: EWP (whip)
1F: Two Weapon Fighting
1: Weapon Focus (Whip)
2F: Whip Mastery
2LW:Combat Expertise
3: Improved Trip
4F: Improved Disarm
5: Improved Whip Mastery
6F: Combat Reflexes
7: Greater Trip
8F: Greater Disarm

Half-Elf w/ Ancestral Arms could get you the EWP, as could Half-Orc with City-Raised. Half-Orc also could go for Beastmaster which treats whips as Martial weapons. Note that you only necessarily need TWF if you plan to exceed BAB. You could very well, with 2 iteratives at BAB+6, use your first with the whip to trip followed by the second with your sword and it is not considered two-weapon fighting.

Though not what you originally requested, you might consider the 7-branch sword with Slayer. 7-Branch can make a trip attempt which knocks the opponent flat-footed rather than prone, then Slayer can sneak-attack to his heart's content. And you can still trip, for that matter, so you can knock him flat-footed first, then trip him prone.
