I re-watched the Ryan vs Dorkman videos and I couldn't help but think how amazing a lightsaber fight made by Monty would have been.

I've been re-watching the various RWBY fight scenes, and I'm struck again at how amazing the choreography is in many of them, particularly ones like the duels in No Brakes, especially Yang vs. Umbrella Girl, and the various 4 vs. a big nasty battles, rather than the minor variations on blade dashing through a bunch of mooks.

And really, that's what concerns me about RWBY going forward. The world is interesting, and some of the writing and voice-acting is decent, but other times, not so much. And anime via CG animation can be really rough-looking. The awesome fights made dealing with the off moments a lot easier to deal with. I fear without Monty's guidance we'll be losing a lot of what makes the series stand out.
